I'm trying to update from PSoC Designer 5.1 SP2.1 After update manager checks for available updates  an error is shown that sais: "Unable to get updates from update server. Please check for network connections/contact Cypress support."I have to mention that the update manager updates all the other software components. Can anyone tell me what is going on.?

I am organising my work at the moment as a number of projects inside a single workspace (rather like Eclipse one would think).

However, because of the following observations, I wonder what the point of workspaces is.

1. Every time I open the workspace, all the projects are loaded (taking quite a long time, even on a 7 core W64 machine).

2. There is no way (as far I can determine) of not opening projects within a workspace when the workspace is opened.

3. Most annoyingly, the arrangement of the projects when the workspace is closed (i.e. which one is the 'active' project, which files/views are open and the sizes and positions of the windows) is forgotten when it's next opened. It seems to revert to the last added project being the active one and loads ALL the design windows as well as some arbitrary collection of source files.

4. There appears to be no difference in opening the top .app file, or the .cmx file of a particular project or the  .soc of a particular project - the whole shebang is done all over again whichever one is opened!

For me this is getting worse and worse as I add my 13 projects to my workspace - please tell me there are improvemnets to this in the pipeline 🙂 -- or that I need to do something to make it all work as it should.

I am unable to register PSoC creator tool.Everytime i provide my login credentials,a message in red appears as shown in the screen shot.

It would be really great for design documentation if we could name the bits in a control register.

Right now the component labels them control_0, control_1, ...

If the customizer had fields where we could provide more descriptive names that would then be displayed in the drawing, that would be awesome.

If someone does this, be sure to test it with names like "Channel:0", "Channel:1", etc because it is pretty common to have a multi-bit field in a control register (for example to control a mux/demux).

To whom it may concern,

I have the EBK and downloaded the 1.0 version of code for development when I bought the EBK from Avnet a couple months back. Is there any updates that work with the new released processor modules?

The code will not buld on v2.0 nor v1.0 of PSOC creator.

After updating / installing PSoC Designer 5.2 the registration cannot be executed. A red exclamation mark appears beside the (valid!) email address and the text says "Unable to connect network. Please register later." Of course my internet connection is working.

2 PCs, one running Vista, the other Win7

On both machines 5.1 was running before, but was de-installed before the update.

Shall I file a thech-case for this?

    Am a final year student  currently working on a project titled 'EMG Based Pattern Recognition System for Prosthetic Hand'. I have the acquisition part ready and i was wondering if it s possible to do the feature extraction and classification part with PSoC(Evaluation kit-CY8C29466).
