PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
It's not really important (I think!), but Creator (both 2.0 and 2.1, maybe 2.2?) never successfully finds the internet connection to Cypress.com, so for hours and hours and hours the little spinning wheel just spins away. I'm new to the PSoC world (got here by investing in Jon Mueller's FreeSoc project), so there are gazillions of buttons and options that I might click on to solve the problem, but if someone has the answer, it would stop driving me nuts...
Show LessHello,
at this time I write a multi module implementation of a PSoC component in verilog. The top level module instanciates here 2 other modules which are separated into 2 different files (to test these sub modules with there own test bench). Using verilog's `include directive these works for modelsim, but warp doesn't find the files finaly even if there are in the same directory as the top level module. How can I extend/set the include path of warp?
Thanks!
Show LessHi,
I am working on project with another engineer who is doing the hardware design. What is the best approach for merging our software into one? The other engineer has created some routines that run DACs and ATDs and I will be writing and managing the greater program.

Show LessThis thread points out the continuimg need for a more complete, in depth
device filterable selector tool. I would add one advantage of web tool, as
limited as it is, is the 1K piece part price is shown. I would posit there
is no reason this tool cannot both be online and in Designer. Tool in Designer
should be accessable without having to initiate a new project, and be avail-
able when a project is open.

Show LessI am trying to force stack in a 256 byte part to start at a different address, eg. resize it.
In Compiler/Linker manual I can find a command line way to do it, but would rather have
this done by project settings.
-dram_end:<address> Define the end of the data area. The startup file uses this argument to ini-
tialize the value of the hardware stack.
How would I go about this ?
Regards, Dana.
Show LessIn deisgner, if you try to add a custom linker file, "Ciustom.LKP", you
cannot, the add file options do not have a .LKP choice for the type of
file.
Trying to add as txt file then renaming, it does not show up in workspace explorer.

Show LessHaving recently discussed the use of global and local variables with Dana, I could not help but writing a bit of explanation for those who are not so experienced in the matter. Have a look at the attached document.
Happy new year for all you forum supporters

Show LessWhen placing the I2Cm module, it states it will setup the pins you select in
the properties window, however when you look at the pin properties window
you will see the pin set for STDCPU, HiZ. But if you look at the pin setting
property selection there is a I2C SDA and I2C SCL choice, so it is confusing,
accept the module setup of STDCPU or use the I2C SDA/SCL choices.
Quick answer is stay with module setup of STDCPU, HiZ. The I2Cm module
is making the correct choice. The I2C SDA/SCL settings are for the I2CHW
module setup.
This confusion will be cleared up in a future release.
Regards, Dana.
