Can i use any Component in my verilog code by instantiating it?
The following piece of code give the error:
.\usb_uart.c:210:3: warning: array subscript has type 'char' [-Wchar-subscripts] at the line marked with "****", but as far as I can see the array subscript is int, not char.
int i,len; uint16 c,d; uint32 ip,u32; char r,s; char *pC = 0; //MSG_BUF *pMB; // convert entire buffer to UCASE for(i=0; i<usbRxPos; i++) { usbCmdBuffer = toupper(usbCmdBuffer); // **** }Show Less
I hope this is the best place to do this, if there is a better less-public place to report bugs please do let me know!

In Creator 3.0 if you are using the Code Explorer, and you collapse all the branches, and open only the ones you need, such as 'Functions', then switch to another tab, and back again, all of the branches are expanded and you have to spend time collapsing them back down to what you need again. It's distracting and wastes time.
Hope this is helpful.

Show LessIf you use the 'Find all active references' feature, some results in the results window are duplicated many times.
For example, searching for all active reference to dwSig, which is a member of a structure define in my main.h file results in the following in the find results window:
Find results for ')': main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.c:232:62 : sprintf(traceBuf,"\tSystem signature : %04x\r",deviceConfig.dwSig); TRACE0(); main.c:388:18 : if(deviceConfig.dwSig != SPIDER_SIG) main.c:431:15 : deviceConfig.dwSig = SPIDER_SIG; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig; main.h:91:9 : uint16 dwSig;
Note that lie 91:9 in main.h is repeated over and over.
Should I be reporting these bugs using 'My Cases' ?

Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to create applications for the PSoC without using PSoC Creator's IDE. Is it possible to create a textual representation of my schematic, etc., and then build the firmware from the command line, without using the IDE at all?
The reason I ask is that I would like to experiment with automatically generated schematics. I would write a python script which will generate the schematic and source code automatically, then compile it and program it into the PSoC without needing any assistance from me. It will generate dozens of different schematics, and I would like it to work completely automatically.
Is this possible? If so, is there a document explaining how to do this, and the format of the files I need to generate?
Many thanks
Hugo Elias
Show LessWith the time-saving functions "Go To Definition" and "Go To Implementation" which I really appreciate for larger projects I miss something like a "Back" button that brings me back to the location from where I issued one of the above commands. Preferrably more than 1 level back, 10 will be quite sufficent.

Show LessWhen you use the 'Find All Active References' feature, the results are displayed with the wrong search noted.
For example, I searched for all references to a method called 'lightProcessRX' and the results window shows this:
Note that the term in the first line is not correct.
Hope you find this bug report helpful.
Show LessIf you use the 'Find All Active References' feature to find references to a method name, Creator becomes unresponsive and effectively 'hangs' until the search is complete. The results window does not appear until the search has completed.
Dependent on the size of your project and/or the capabilities of your PC the search can take some time.
My 2 cents worth: The search should be more like the Batch Find, and not make the editor un-responsive, and the results window should appear ahen the search begins and be updated as the search progresses. - or - If the code was somehow 'indexed' then the search could in fact be immediate.
I hope you find this helpful.
Show LessI have tried all over google but I cannot seem to find the project that this application note
http://www.cypress.com/?docID=33528
is talking about?
I am assuming it is an example project and when it opens this is the documentation that comes up but where is the actual software?
Sorry if this is not the right section..
