PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
I've probably spent about 13 hours straight programming today, the last two hours or so has been very strange, though. Everything working fine, problems obvious and only caused by me, most problems were with what I actually want it to do until... It just stopped... The software runs, I get serial over the usb, and I can do everything that's "pure" software. I can turn a software controlled pin on and off using the Pin_Write() function, I can call CyDelay just fine and software resets but for some reason nothing hardware based will work. My design has a timer, a PWM, a multiplexer, a control register, and they were all working perfectly fine. But now none of them work at all, if I hook up their outputs to a scope they only read whatever the pin's initial value is set to be.
Not having any idea what might be wrong I decided to use a little LED blinking program that blinks the onboard LED with a control register feeding into the output pin. But it just won't do anything. If I control the pin with software then it works just fine, but not a single piece of the schematic is working. I know it's not the device, because the bootloader blinks the LED just fine, still. It has to be me, I had to have done something.
Could anyone help me find out what I've done? Where do I even start to look? This problem is very bizarre and it's completely shut me down. All help is appreciated, if you need anything just tell me.
I'll upload that LED blinking project just
Show LessHi,
I need to create a delta-sigma modulator for a signal that isn't necessarily positive, for example lets say that the signal is in the range (-1,1)
I'll need an option to reset the modulator between different conversions.
This project is for a PSoC 5 architecture.
I noticed that there are analog primitives in PSoC creator. two of which can be relevant:
1. ds_mod (DS Modulator).
2. scblock.
neither of them has a data sheet so I'm not sure how to use them.
Any Ideas which is best to use and how to define it correctly?
Attach is a screenshot of the primitives.
Thanks,
Peli
Show LessFor customers that cannot upload their project to get assistance, due to
proprietary nature of project, we at forum are telling them to file a CASE.
Is there a written policy that can be handed off to a customer on how Cypress
applications help via CASE assitance insures all data handled appropriatly, like
file erasure, etc. at end of asistance ?

Show LessSo why won't this code compile. Fails on the assign to COM.State
#define BUFSIZE 10
volatile typedef struct {
char Buf[BUFSIZE];
uint8 DataBytes;
uint32 Timer;
uint8 DatainBuf;
uint8 State;
uint8 Timeout;
} comtype;
volatile typedef struct comtype COM;
volatile typedef struct comtype SMS;
int main()
{
/* Place your initialization/startup code here (e.g. MyInst_Start()) */
/* CyGlobalIntEnable; */ /* Uncomment this line to enable global interrupts. */
for(;;)
{
COM.State = 1;
}
}
Ugh, Dana.
Show LessHi every body!
I have a CY8CKIT-050 PSoC 5LP development kit.
I begin doing with that kit via example project: IntensityLED,...(example from Cypress).
But I can't program to kit via USB, I connected USB Cable to J1 on board, green led D5 on.
When I click button "program" (Ctrl+F5), i have problem as in the picture SelectDebugTarget.png.
I want program to kit via USB cable. Currently, I have only USB cable to program, not have MiniProg3...
My OS: Windows 7 professional 32 bit.
My version PSoC creator: 3.0 SP2 (I installed CY8CKIT050BSetupOnlyPackage.exe to use example project).
Can you please tell me the solutions to solve that problem?
Many thanks!

Hello everyone,
I wish to build a battery charger where I can cotrol the output voltage & current to give a total of 300VA.
In that I want-
1. Current control &
2. Voltage control
totalling to 300VA.
While charging the battery I want <=85% charging should be a boost charging (rapid charging with high current) & the next 15% should be a trikle charging (continuous charging with low current).
Also I want the feature of Auto turn-off at full charge & setting a minimum limit to start the charging.
Please guide me on this.
Thanks & Regards-
Amit
Show Less Hello,
I am new to PSoC designer. I am trying to develop CYRF89435 chip using PSoC designer.
I have been through few PSoC designer tutorial. However, in all those tutorial, lot of buses and lines are available along with pins for each module we include in the application workspace.
When I use CYRF89435, There is only one analog bus line and even when I add timer or ADC, there are no pins associated with the modules.
How do we confgure CYRF89435 in PSoC designer?
Hi,
I don't know where to put a Feature Request, so I am doing it here. It would be nice to add a Median Filter to the Digital Filter component. Normally such filter requires a lot of processing power but it helps a lot fighting spurious signals from real world (as shown on picture attached). Digital Filter component would be a perfect place to put such filter.
Show LessHallo everyone,
I am using a PSoC 5 in a CAN-Network. I would like to turn off the interrupts for a critical section. Will the interrupt of the CAN-controller get lost or will it wait until interrupts are enabled again?
Thank you and best regards,
HeDo
