PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
Hi.
I'm using sample code in C++ located in Cypress-SDK: "Cypress\Programmer\Examples\Programming\PSoC1\ISSP\Cpp_Ex" to program a HEX file to CY7C63803 chip.
It works fine, but I need to turn the PowerOn on PSoC Miniprog after write the firmware into device for test purpose.
I could not find PowerOn command in C++ (Cpp_Ex) sample code.
Could you send me a sample code in C++ to PowerOn and PowerOff the MiniProg using C++?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I am trying to create a multi-line assembly #define.
The keil documentation says __asm { push ACC } is the format. That is a lie. If you do that, the result is:
2520 { push ACC; };
*** _____________________________________^
*** ERROR #A9 IN 2520 (Z:\drop-folder\Dropbox\4g\Cypress\Projects\Depth\DepthRTOS_PSOC3-Brd6V0\Source\tasks.src, LINE 25
20): SYNTAX ERROR
-----------
The correct format is
__asm push ACC
That produces the correct result.
In order to generate a #define that creates several lines of assembly code for 8051, you must use this format
__asm push ACC \n push IE \n CLR EA \n
The __asm caused the assembly to be generated. *Important:* to get *each* of the lines of assembly out, you must follow each assembly instruction with a \n. During my testing, I left the \n off of the CLR EA, and it did not get emitted.

1. Has the USB driver corrupted?
2. Has the kit gone bad?

Show LessI am troubleshooting a problem where 4.4 is not able to program or debug a project. I can program from Programmer however.
I have a suspicion that 4.2 might behave differently. Is there a way to save this specific 4.4 project so that I can open it with 4.2 and attempt to debug?
Or -
is there a way to fix this error that I get when I attempt to build that 4.4 project in 4.2:
sdb.M0052: Unable to find component "cy_boot_v6_10"
Thanks

Hi. Over the past couple days I’ve been suffering from an issue where my PSOC creator crashes within seconds of typing code.
Upon further investigation, windows event viewer said it was Libclang.dll and the internet said that I could disable semantic parsing to stop the crashing.
that worked except now I might as well be using notepad to code. This is a recent issue. Is there any way to fix this?
Show LessHi,
I have a workspace that has 2 "Design projects" and one "Library project".
The "Library project" is that one that contains the shared code. And from I'd like to call `CySysTickStart()` from it.
That functioned is declared in "CyLib.h", but I cannot include it from my "Library Project".
Question: How do I include CyLib.h (or for the matter, any other Cy* file / cmsys* file) from a Library Project?
(Note: Those files seems that they get auto-generated by the "Design Project").
Show LessHello,
I am using PSoC 4 device (CY8C4014LQI-422) for buffering few digital input signals to digital output pins. I am currently using available APIs: Pin_write() and Pin_Read() to assign logic levels. But to understand the delay involved in PSoC response times, I wanted to try writing custom functions for Pin writes and reads in C or Assembly language and program the target PSoC to test for faster response times.
It will be great if someone could review and advise me on the possibility to write custom Pin read and Write functions in C using PSoC Creator 4.0 / in Assembly language.
Thanks and Regards,

Show LessHi
Is it possible to highlighting all occurrences of a variable (or text item) when it is chosen in PSoC Creator .
Like in other IDEs, when we double a click on a word, all other occurrences are highlighted.
thanks
Show LessIn PSoC Creator 4.3 and using a Cypress Miniprog, when the miniprog can't find a target, the "select debug target" dialog almost slows down to a halt. The UI only seems to react once every 10 seconds or so.
Unplugging the Miniprog USB from the PC gets it going again, as does connecting a psoc to it, but when you actually need to do something in that dialog, like, say, changing the target voltage or connector settings on the miniprog, it is incredibly frustrating.
Is there anything I can do about it?
Show LessHi,
it's been a while since the last update. I wonder if Cypress is still working on updates or if there's a new tool or something like that coming. I hope a Cypress member can provide more information about this.
