Show LessI am trying to change the name of device when advertising. In my attachment, you can see the name "CapSense Slider LED". I would like to change this. I already tried changing the "Device name" property in the BLE GUI, but it has no effect. (see attached) I searched all my Generated Source for "CapSense Slider LED" but I can't find it. Where is the device name?
Show LessI am very new to PSOC but not to embedded systems. I got one of the CY8CKIT-049-42xx boards and installed PSoC Creator 3.0.
I am confused about bootloader vs bootloadable projects and how to set up a new project.
I think I want to make a bootloadable project and the somehow link it to a bootloader project, perhaps from the examples.
The getting started guides and similar documents skip over this issue although there is plenty of documentation on migrating from older versions.
Is there some simple basic documentation on this anywhere?
Thanks
Don
Hi, I've just installed PSoC Creator 3.3 and I'm working through the Ble 101 tutorials.
The context sensitive drop-down only seems to have a sub-set of the functions available.
For instance if I enter 'CYBLE_EVT' I only get one option in the drop-down; whereas the 101 video shows at least 10 functions that fit 'CYBLE_EVT'.
I assume I have missed something; but I can't see what.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Show LessHello,
A few days ago, I upgraded PSoC Creator to 3.3 CP2. And since then I get "Assertion failed" error messages quite often. The attachment shows one of these error messages.
I'm running PSoC Creator in a Windows 8.1 virtual machine, on OS X. No problem with previous version of PSoC Creator. Has somebody experienced this?
Show LessHi,
I have had PSoC Creator 3.2 working on my PC previously, and I have 3.3 working on another PC.
However, I recently re-installed Windows Vista on this PC, and then installed PSoC Creator with Admin rights. The problem is now, I get this error whenever I try to compile a PSoC4 project:
arm-none-eabi-gcc.exe: error: CreateProcess: No such file or directory
This happens with *all* projects using the arm compiler, including projects which were previously working, and also all example projects.
I have tried doing a repair install, and a full uninstall and re-install. But that didn't make any difference. I have also tried some of the advice I've seen on the other two threads regarding this problem: Adding gcc.exe's path to the Windows Path, etc. But nothing has helped.
Has anyone actually solved this problem?

Show LessWhen I use PSOC creator 3.3 build code, I got different color for code.
For example, after "if" and "else", one area all code are light color, another area code are dark color.
Can I assume the dark color code is real, the light is skipped?
Where I can find the color definition?
Thank you everyone help!

Show LessHi,
I'm trying to get first decimal from a float, however when I'm debigging the aplication it changes the actual value for exmaple:
float test = 5.1;
The debugger says that the value stored is 5.0999999, the same issue is happenning with
float test = 5.100001;
debugger says that test = 5.100004.
With this issue I can't get the fist decimal.
Any idea??
Show LessI've recently received a PSoC 5LP dev kit, and I've found the Creator software very impressive so far! However, I've been looking into debugging options that would hopefully avoid a dependence on a UART module. I came across http://www.cypress.com/knowledge-base-article/using-embedded-trace-macrocell-etm-kba90952 but this doesn't seem to provide much help for those without access to IAR or Keil IDEs.
Is there any documentation detailing how to configure this sort of capture and analysis in Eclipse, or specifically in gdb? Or even better, is there any planned timeline for adding these features to PSoC Creator?
