PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
Hi,
KEIL is required to compile PSoC3.
for that reason,
[Help]-[Registor]-[Keil..]
We are trying to register KEIL.
We can not register even if you fill in the designated item.
As mentioned above,
Although CID and PSN are written in advance, PSN error will occur.
Have you experienced this kind of phenomenon?
Also, do you have the means to avoid?
The Cypress USBFS component doesn't have enough custom code sections in it to customize handling all the different requests that USB can make. I can modify the Generated_Source files, but then those changes get overwritten every time I build the project, and I have to restore the modifications from version control.
I see from https://community.cypress.com/docs/DOC-12381 that we should be able to modify the original source code for the component, which should let us add our own custom code sections where necessary, but when I try this, I get a C# error in file cyaudio2_0.cs, and I know nothing about C#:
The type or namespace name 'ArrayEditor' does not exist in the namespace 'System.ComponentModel.Design' (are you missing an assembly reference?)
Any idea what I need to do to customize this code?
Show LessI'm using PSoC Creator 4.2 on Win10 (build 17134). It's suddenly started several times a day. I don't get any sort of warning or error message... the program just quits immediately and I lose any unsaved changes. I'm connected to a 5LP target via a MiniProg3, though I'm not always debugging when the crash occurs. It may be correlated with simultaneously running Visual Studio 2013, but I'm not certain.
Is there some kind of log file created that can at least give me a clue about why this is happening? I did a search and found a number of similar complaints - does Cypress at least have a clue what's going on? I use several large CAD and IDE packages, and this is the only one that crashes like this.
Show LessI downloaded PSoCCreatorSetup_4.2_es100_b641.exe this morning for evaluation for a new project. I tried to install this package on my Windows 10 machine, but it always fails to install near the end. The snapshot below shows what happens when it quits.
The installer seems to have started two install threads and then decides that this is a conflict. When I click the OK button, the installer rolls-back all the the partial installation that it has made leaving nothing installed. There are three choices during install: Typical, Custom, and Full Install. All three choices fail in exactly the same way. I noticed that the installer does try to install PSoC Creator and the Keil Development tools as it asks for license agreement sequentially for both. Possibly this may be the conflict that causes the failure. Any suggestions as to how I can install this program?
I have checked the Windows Task Manager to insure that there are not more than one install happening simultaneously, but only the single install task shows.
Show LessHi there,
I'm using PSoC Creator 4.2.0.641 in a Windows 10 virtual machine (Oracle VirtualBox) an just realized that I haven't been seeing any autocomplete suggestions for quite a long time. I can't exactly tell when they disappeared. Maybe they even haven't been there since I switched to virtual machine. Can't remember...
Now I'm trying to get them back but couldn't find a way yet. I tried every possible setting in Tools > Options > Text Editor > Inline Diagnostics and Autocomplete but nothing happened. The only thing that made a little difference was what htoraby_2798536 suggested in this thread Autocomplete function not working. So I took libclang.dll from Creator 4.1.and 4.0 (one after another, of course) and replaced the version that came with 4.2 which caused autocomplete to show up for a few tens of seconds after starting PSoC Creator. But then it disappeared again and never came back...
The virtual machine has 4GB of RAM and uses 2 processor cores so power and memory shouldn't be the problem.
Any ideas? Class? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller...? Thank you, Dave Jones... ;-))
I'm obviously not the only one experiencing this issue. Maybe the developers at Cypress should have a closer look before the next update...
Regards
Dominik
Show LessHello,
I am using the PSoC Creator 4.2 with the PSoC Programmer 3.27.3 on a Windows 7 OS.
I wanted to programm the PSoC 4700 magsense Device on the CY8CKIT-148 and the new CYBLE-416045-02 PSoC 6 BLE Module.
Allthough I updated everything to the newest version I can not find these to part in the device selector.
I checked the content in the \Cypress\Programmer\Devices Folder and found the CY8C47xx-S.dat and the CY8C63xx.dat file.
So the device seams to be in the database but the device selector does not show it.
Does anybody know why this happens and what could be the cause?
Can I include this file manually in the device selector?
Thank you in advance.
Philipp
Show LessI'm using the PSoc4 CY8C4024AZI on my own pcb, but I can't flash it with PE Micro Universal Multilink, SWD protocol.
The connections are okay and I'm energizing the uC and the flasher with an external source.
The PE Micro it's okay too, I tested it with another project.
Show LessI am using the CY8CKIT-062-BLE development kit.
I would like to save data to memory, either internal SRAM or external NOR flash and then dump it out via PSoC Creator 4.2
Is there a way to do this? Otherwise, I can write a program to send the data out via serial port but this is cumbersome. I'd like to read it via the IDE and save it to a file.
Show LessI’m having a problem trying to compile the CE222221, PSoC 6 MCU Voice Recorder, example program that is referenced in the CY8CKIT-062-WiFi-BT, PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit Guide. Following the instructions in both the guide and the CE222221 app note, the compile fails due to missing header files. I’m using the latest example download, CY8CKIT-062-WiFi-BT_PSoC®6_WiFi-BT_Pioneer_Kit_Code_Examples.zip, from Cypress’ website. The app note mentions a FreeRTOSConfig.h header file and states “DO NOT replace the FreeRTOSConfig.h file”. The example zip includes the header file, but when I try to compile I get the following message:
“The following configuration files have been removed from the project because they are no longer used by the design. These files are still on disk but changes made to them will need to be replicated in the new files. Removed files: C:\Users\gordonmx\Documents\PSoC Creator\4.2\Examples\PSoC 6 MCU\CE222221_Voice_Recorder.cydsn\FreeRTOSConfig.h
Details –
Some configuration files are no longer used by the design. These files have been removed from the project with new files added in their place. Any changes made to the files in question will need to be replicated in the newly added files.”
Note: Because my PC is running Windows 7 Pro and the default directory for the examples is in the “C:\Program files” path with restricted permissions, I set up my workspace into C:\Users\gordonmx\Documents\PSoC Creator\4.2\Examples\PSoC 6 MCU\CE222221_Voice_Recorder.cydsn
When I press [OK] the build continues, but fails with the following message:
In file included from main_cm4.c:43:0:
The command 'arm-none-eabi-gcc.exe' failed with exit code '1'.
- rtos.h:46:26: fatal error: FreeRTOS.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
--------------- Build Failed: 12/05/2018 14:55:21 ---------------
The header file rtos.h does exist, but FreeRTOS.h does not, as well a number of other header files referenced in rtos.h, such as task.h, queue.h, semphr.h and event_groups.h.
