Moderators do not have to work unfortunately,
How sloppy it is!
I would like a proposal in order to prevent these
[1] Place a "report spam" button in each post,
Responsible person to remove the article immediately
And have to stop the account of the spam author.
[2] Should be monitored for 24 hours by providing the person in charge someone,
Whenever at weekend, The Internet is up 365 days.
At least, It should be treated within 24 hours.
I hope for treatment as soon as possible.
And also topic of small windows is welcome...
Solved! Go to Solution.

New "Report Spam" button can push by everyone.
Of course, the supervisor determine strictly, either Spam or Not.
Anyway, I had report this article to MyCase and mail to the director.
First reply had came, It will move forward a little by little.

Like on most online comunities, maybe a couple of comunity members should be given mod powers to delete that kind of posts.

That is functionally good. If a comment has some reports of SPAM
the comment will deleted soon.
However, If SPAM button is not functionally but
Moderator work a little, can be easy to clean up the forum.
If so, Never spam remains for a week.

How is this?
[1] When the rookie time, whose posting is limited one/a day.
Of course, If the article is identified as spam,
the account will deleted immediately.
[2] Now, functionally of Abuse button is questionable.
So, Add click count by side.
Of course, The member can click it only once for that article.
If abuse count exceed the limit, The Alert will send to the Webmaster, automatically.

Today, I accept the reply from MyCase.
Excerpt is followings
3. We really can’t prevent them from creating new accounts.
We have to wait for someone to report the spam,
then the web team will remove the posts and block the user.
4. We have Report Spam link in the forum.
If you are logged in, you will see one to the right of every post.
Once you click the link, it will send the webteam an email.
5. We are on our way in improving our system regarding the spam posts.
if several of our top users report spam then it could be automatically blocked or hidden.
Overall, tells us that Cypress nothing can do.
Why Cypress can't do?, I wonder
Maybe Web system is totally out-sourcing to outside vendors,
If they want to modify or Improve Web site, need a cost
then they doesn't do anything.
If I am, I will do it in 24h.
Also small window will improve to magic window in 30 minutes, If Bob.
Now, It is 9:45[GMT]
Those spams hadn't deleted yet.
Cypress said - Immediately - - Automatically -
Do you belive in it?

A post I just made -
@Gari, some people have had problems trying to use Chrome to post a file.
In general a number of contributors to the forum have been posting, in excess
of 1 year, issues associated with forum software, with no replies from Cypress.
This is but one of several hundred posts on this topic.
http://www.cypress.com/?app=forum&id=2492&rID=85495 Now with hacking
going on in PSOC 1 section, Cypress may start losing contributors, people who are
assisting your customers.
And of course your customers experiencing the same problems. I wonder how many
Cypress customers have left your community ? Needless to say no one in their right
mind would tolerate a support model like this these days for highly technical products.
Regards, Dana.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again....
I truly belive that the support teams and development teams at Cypress are run by accountants and not by technical people.
Just look at the forum - it really must be the laughing stock of the industry. No notifcations, no 'edit' feature, no spam prevention....
You could get all of that for FREE (as in no $), and a lot more besides, using something like phpBB all you need is a web server runing PHP and a database such as MySQL or whatever..... it would take just a few hours to set up and would be much better than what we have here.
Some of the top contributors like Bob and Dana could be made moderators.

Sorry, I'm bumping an old topic. Are you guys still having an issue with the Report Abuse link? I'm hoping that removing that ugly "AddThis" sharing button fixes it.

Since I recently (yesterday) got back the normal window size for replies the "Report Abuse" button will be functional for me again. When the moderator is alert and removes those posts quickly at least the spam-problem will be cured.

Boy, I see that last post paste worked real well.
@SpiderKenney, is that a paid position ? Given that my retirement income,
social security, is about to disappear, that would keep me in cat food
potentially for weeks on end. Where can you get a salmon dinner at < $ 1
a can. Awesome.
Regards, Dana.

Kenny, I do not want to be a moderator of this forum, not even when I get paid for (except when I get paid for generously ).
I feel that should be kept in the hands of the forum-provider Cypress, even when it is not a full-time job.
