In PSoC Creator 4.3 and using a Cypress Miniprog, when the miniprog can't find a target, the "select debug target" dialog almost slows down to a halt. The UI only seems to react once every 10 seconds or so.
Unplugging the Miniprog USB from the PC gets it going again, as does connecting a psoc to it, but when you actually need to do something in that dialog, like, say, changing the target voltage or connector settings on the miniprog, it is incredibly frustrating.
Is there anything I can do about it?

Hi @jon
This issue is normally observed when the programmer configurations are incorrect.
Could you please verify the following before you press on the "program" or "debug" target buttons:
1. Tools -> Options -> Program/Debug -> Port Configuration
Expand "Port Configurations" and select the programmer (MiniProg 3 / 4) and verify if the settings for the same are accurate.
NOTE : 1. Make sure the correct connector type is selected ( between 5 / 10 pin)
2. Power to be set to external if your target is powered from an external source
3. Acquire mode as Reset
After making sure of the above, please go ahead and click on the "program" or "debug" buttons and let us know if the issue still persists.

Well thank you! I thought the only way to get at those settings was via the various items in the Debug menu, which all try to connect before I can change any settings. That does more or less solve my problem.
In any case, it would be nice if the whole program didn't freeze if the settings are wrong, though.
