When trying to attach to a running target, PSoC Creator returns:

Error "Unable to acquire target device PSoC 63 CYBLE-416045-02 (CM0p): " was received while trying to change the selected target.

When using the "Select Debug Target..." option, the same error appears first. On second try, a debug session starts successfully.

Any ideas on what could cause this odd behavior?

Hi @user_4814686

Are you able to program the device without any issues?

Can you please verify your Port Configuration (Tools > Options) settings?

Is attach to CM4 working as expected?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Rakshith,

I currently have the same MiniProg4 settings as the one you provided.

I can program the board the same way I can debug. It often fails on first try, but will always work on second try. I never seem to get the "Attach on target" to work though.

The same behavior is observed with the CM4.

Thanks,

Xavier

Hi Xavier,

Can you provide more details about your hardware setup?

Are you externally powering the PSoC device or is miniprog 4 powering the device? Are you using  low power mode apis in your project?

Can you please program the device with miniprog4 using PSoC Programmer, in that case please send the log so that we can see the voltage detected on the device, clock speed etc.

You say that the programming works in the second try so this can be a USB Port or cable issue. Could you try different cable and USB port to see if it works.

Best Regards

Ekta
