PSoC™ 6 Forum Discussions
Still new to Psoc and learning a lot,
I would like to buy the CY8C4247LQI-BL483, would I be able to use the kitprog on my Psoc 6 Kit to flash it?
Show LessHi,
this week I switched from CYBLE-212006 module (PSoC 4) to the CYBLE-416045 module in PSoC Creator 4.2. I'm very surprised, that I can not use the old high level routines.
In PSoC 4 module I can write:
LED_3_green_Write(0);
But in PSoC 6 mudule I have to write:
Cy_GPIO_Pin_FastInit(LED_3_green_0_PORT, LED_3_green_0_NUM, CY_GPIO_DM_STRONG, 1, HSIOM_SEL_GPIO);
Cy_GPIO_Set(LED_3_green_0_PORT, LED_3_green_0_NUM);
That's just a very small example but when I try to setup the BLE module or an SPI interface, there are a lot of differences. And when I try to get a code example, I just get examples in the old style.
So is there a way to enable the high level routines?
Thanks!
Show LessI was wondering if Cypress has an inexpensive solution for counting the time interval/difference between two separate pulses with at least couple of nanosecond resolution. The pulses are TTL, 50 nanosecond wide. Basically, I want to make a fast time-to-digital converter(TDC). Any ideas? Can you run a PSoC counter, externally clocking it with a with 2 GHz a cypress clock, e.g. CY294x? If so what PSoC chip do your recommend, what timer, and maybe if you could suggest sample schematic. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Show LessI have been having issues with PSoC Creator, using PSoC 6, where adding files through the right-click-ADD function seems to add the files to Creator, but does not add them to the workspace/project. Also, lots of issues finding .h files etc when they are listed in Creator. A snap is below showing a .h file that has been imported but never found.
Also, some variables that are declared in .h files don't seem to be getting passed, despite being defined appropriately.
Are there significant bugs in the latest Creator? Or is there something I am missing in terms of dragging files etc into the environment??? I have eventually managed to get this issue sorted, but do not understand how...….by restarting PSoC Creator it resolved, but now I have a variable reference issue that is as perplexing.

Hi,
i have been working with the PSoC creator and decided to change the HW PSoC4L to PSoC62. So for that i ordered CY8CPROTO-062-4343W which is only supported by ModusToolBox. But i realized that the components i used in my PSoC Creator Project don't exist in ModusToolBox
Components like
- Toggle Flip Flop
- System Clock (where a frequency can be entered without any divider, and the frequency would be provided)
- Digital Functions/Logic/Registers/Utility etc
Is there actally a way of getting them in ModusToolBox or they are just not supposed to be there?
If it is possible to get them, then please let me know, as i have already started porting.

Show LessI was following the Android BLE App tutorial recently and now am stuck in this particular video.
How to Create a PSoC Android BLE App: Lesson 4 Write the Firmware - YouTube
A few more details:
- The tutorial is based on PSoC 4. The kit is PSoC 6, but there is no tutorial for 6.
So, I had to improvise some changes - some settings in PSoC Creator, different pins, etc.
- When I run the sample code, I get undeclared/implicit declaration errors like this.
- I looked into the entire project code from cypress github to see where in the specific files those declarations are made.
I found that related declarations with errors are just scattered everywhere - ble gatt related files, ble_stack.h, ble_custom.h, etc which are missing from the project when I generated.
Now, the PSoC Creator UI is slightly changed from the video (assuming there has been upgrades since the tutorial video is 2.5 years old).
I did pretty much same as the video as in Lesson 3: Configure the BLE Component.
Is there anything I have to do extra for PSoC 6 BLE before generating the project to include those files?
Show LessI would like to know how many SCBs the PSOC 6 BLE module has. The CYBLE-416045-02 datasheet says 5 SCBs on page 1, 9 SCBs on page 7 and 2 SCBs on page 54. Are any of these numbers correct?
Show LessI've got a PSoC 6 Pioneer development board, and I would like to use the bluetooth functionality - not BLE. Can anyone point me to some starter code for this board that sets up the bluetooth functionality? Thanks!
