PSoC™ 6 Forum Discussions
I am using a PSoC 62 CY8C627BZI-D54 with 288KB RAM. On CM0 core I just have a main loop with a sleep call inside so I allocate 8KB RAM for it. I allocate the remaining RAM to CM4 with starting address 0x08002000. I don't see any compilation errors but the code running on CM4 will lock up. If I allocate 32KB RAM to CM0 and set CM4 starting address to 0x08008000 I don't see any problems. I tried setting 8KB RAM for CM0 and leaving CM4 RAM starting address at 0x08008000 and I don't see any problems either. Is there some rule that says CM4 RAM cannot be in the first 32KB? I assume if there are no compilation errors then there should be no problem.
Show LessUsing the example CapSense code, after touching the button widget remains touched for more than a second. How do I speed up the response to allow the user a faster button?
Show LessHello, how one can develop haptic feedback ? Is their any application kit available for development?
- What are the main differences between the software architecture of PSoC 5LP and PSoC 6 MCU?
- Can I port PSoC 5LP firmware directly to a PSoC 6 MCU?
- PSoC 5LP has components like Delta Sigma ADC, TIA(Amplifier).. etc, Are they available in PSoC 6? (When i checked for for delta sigma ADC in PSoC 6, i found following discussion: https://community.cypress.com/thread/8302 , Which says its not available)
A brief comparison will be really helpful.
Show LessI have a PSoC 5LP firmware which i want to use in PSoC® 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit. When i checked the Architecture i found that the board has a PSoC 5LP device (CY8C5868LTI-LP039) serving as KitProg2(which is a multi-functional system, which includes a programmer, debugger, USB-I2C bridge, USB-UART bridge, and a USB-SPI bridge). KitProg2 also supports custom applications.
- Is it Possible to program and use this PSoC 5LP instead of PSoC6?
- If its possible, will it contains the PSoC 5LP architectural Components such as Delta Sigma ADC, TIA(Amplifier).. etc.
Any help will be appreciated.
Show LessHi I have a custom hardware with two PDMs (same as the ones on TFT Display Shield Board CY8CKIT-028-TFT) and I am trying to use the stereo mode in the PDM component but when I do that the voice is not recognizable although I can hear sound. However, both seem to be individually working with recognizable human voice if I choose mono L or mono R. What settings other than the "Stereo/Mono Mode Select" needs to modified in the project assuming on the codec side I have selected the right settings for the Left and Right data to be outputted to Left and Right headphones respectively ?
Show LessHi,
I'm curious as to the roadmap for supporting for the new Bluetooth 5.1 AoA and/or AoD features, specifically implementations for the CTE, IQ measurements, and antenna switching.
I'll cross-post this in WICED since I'm not sure which MCU will see these features first.
Thanks

I'm using the PSoC 6 BLE Pioneer Kit.
Note: I had to install and change the project to use PDL 3.1.0 to get it to build.
There is a way to get stuck in ULP (slow flashing) and then the button doesn't have any effect to the LED.

We are working to make a smart wearable for a intergration of smart home connectivity. Although we make a Smart homes devices using Texas Instrument CC-3200 for low cost to fulfil the needs of all community people to get through IOT by Indian innovation design challenge. On top that we also plan to make smart wearable in that we got a solution from your product that fullfil our needs but we have little confusion between PSoc 6 and PsoC 3 in which PSoC 6 has been developed fully for IOT purpose but for smart wearable battery is main concert so it can be done by PSoC 3 which has high Precision analog value and ultra low power for long standby in various sleep mode. Can accuracy and standy, Power management is same as or much more better than PSoC 3 in PSoC 6. Please justify it.
Show LessI need some mass storage using the Pioneer kit. From the documentation, it looks possible. Can't find any kind of code example to do that. We are thinking of building a custom board with a PSoC 6 with eMMC. Looking at the schematic of the BLE-Wifi board, the BLE-Wifi IC is using the SDIO lines for communication with the PSoC. Will there be a future PSoC 6 that has the BLE-Wifi built in?
