PSoC™ 6 Forum Discussions
I've searched the forum and saw the comment about updating tools, that would work if the device then appeared but no such luck. Please advise location for example project for CYBLE-416045-02 module or add this module to the module device lists.

I have a modified PSoC 6 Pioneer Kit that uses a different NOR-flash device from the one provided by the Kit; I have been able to run simple SPI commands on it, but now need to try something completely different. Between doing SMIF-related operations (e.g., programming/erasing memory, reading status), I need to occasionally do some GPIO operations involving some of the same pins, i.e., SMIF_SS0_PIN, SMIF_DATA_PIN, SMIF_SPI_CLOCK_PIN. In effect, I want to try:
- write enable (06h) - sets Write Enable Latch
- read status (05h)
- do a GPIO op - clears Write Enable Latch as a side-effect
- read status (05h)
It has been pointed out to me that on some MCUs, SPI and GPIO functions on the same pins go through a function multiplexor, and the desired function needs to be assigned in advance. Is there such a function multiplexer on PSoC 6 for the SMIF pins? Is there example code for how to do this? For example, could I toggle out a soft reset command (e.g., F0h on S25FL512S) over GPIO before returning to SMIF to read the status?
Show LessHi,
(Assuming that I'm a really beginner)
I am using Psoc 6 ble the prototyping kit and through it I send data via Bluetooth. with the dongle and the app for the Cysmart pc I can visualize the data but I should create a guide that allows me to visualize a graph and also save them in real time .. How could I do?
Thanks a lot!
Show LessI found that when I remove a global variable in the project code, eeprom could not read or write normally. The project code is in the attachment. The global variable is NotifyData[NotifyDataLen] in bleTask.c.Thank you.

where can we find PSoC 6 2M devices flash loader for MDK?
Show LessDear Cypress,
I have some questions about CE220454_PSoC6_CryptoAESDemo, using ModusToolBox.
- First, does Cy_Crypto_Aes_Ecb_Run() function call the HW acceleration inside the PSoC6?
I ask this question because this function is present in the file cy_crypto.c (in components/PSOC6pdl/drivers/source/ folder).
In this folder, other files describing crypto-functions are present such as cy_crypto_core_aes_v2.c and cy_crypto_core_aes_v1.c
Due to the non avaibility of the crypto library and the different versioning, I would like to know:
- What are the differences between these three files?
- Can I use cy_crypto_core_aes_v2.c to perform HW aes acceleration on PSoC6?
- If yes can you provide example code please?
- Can you provide performance test and number of cycles for AES128 encryption using cy_crypto and cy_crypto_core_aes_v1/v2?
Thank you
Regards

Show LessHi there,
Looking to rotate the orientation with the E-INK display to be vertical on the PSoC 6 BLE Pioneer kit with emWin graphics?
I notice there is a way to rotate individual text, polygons, and bitmaps. Couldn't find anything on rotating the entire screen though.
I feel like it should be an option in the GUIConf or LCDConf.
Help always appreciated,
-Davey
Show LessHas anybody implemented DFU on PSoC6, using BLE?
My requirements are:
HW: CYBLE-416045-02
IDE: ModusToolbox 1.1
PDL: v3.1.0
Transport: BLE
OS: FreeRTOS 10.0.1
I have build CE216767 on PSocCreator with PDL 3.0.4 (fails with 3.1.0). This works fine but I need to use ModusToolbox 1.1 and PDL 3.1.0.
I have also looked at CE213903 for ModusToolbox, but it can only be imported into ModusToolbox 1.0.
Can you guide me how to do the DFU, fulfilling my requirements?
