I'm using Creator 4.2 to make a test project for the CYBLE-416045-02, and the fitter is unable to place a digital output pin. The only thing unusual I did was turn on the output enable (the pin is the Tx for a multi-drop serial bus).
Here is the error I'm getting:
Error: fit.M0059: FFB and IO placement failed: Failed to find a valid placement for MODBUS_Tx(0). (App=cydsfit)
There are not too many pins assigned on this project:
Here's what the UART and pin look like:
I've attached the exported project. If anybody has any idea why this doesn't work, I'd sure appreciate knowing. Is there a way to get verbose output from the fitter, maybe?
Show LessThis is a repeat of a question previously asked and incorrectly answered and locked so I'll try again. Looking to understand via a deterministic (DMA) and non-deterministic (Software) way how many clock cycles are required to move a Block of memory from Flash to RAM, what is the optimum Block size for the best efficiency would also be a good data point. I understand that the SYSCLK speed will affect the time to transfer the data but SYSCLK multiplied by the number of clocks cycles will give me a good estimate of how long it will take.
Thank you for your time.
Show LessHello,
I need an advice on selecting the proper BLE profile. I'm new to BLE and a bit confused. So basically what I need is some kind of Bluetooth original SPP, but over BLE. In short, what I need is to exchange binary data between PSoC 63 device and iOS / Android or other device. There will be following communication channels:
PSoC 63 device [node] <---> iOS / Android
PSoC 63 device [node] <---> Another device (non-PSoC)
In a both cases smartphone or non-PSoC device should connect to PSoC63 device and exchange some binary information. Serial over bluetooth will be just perfect here, however, since BLE does not contain any serial-emulation profile, I don't know whether it will be better to choose from existing profile or create custom one. However, in case custom of one, how I will support it from mobile application (which, presumably, will be implemented in Xamarin). I'm very sorry for so broad [and for sure stupid] question, if there are anything to read on topic (or any even semi-working example), it could be nice if you could point to it.
Thanks in advance,
Show LessHi everyone!
I have to generate a Chirp signal in my PSoC 6 BLE Prototyping kit.
Can I use the NOP instruction in the for loop to change frequency?
Or is there a component to tune the frequency?
Show LessLooking for a PSoC6 LIN component seems that Cypress has one for the other PSoC families but not PSoC6, has anyone developed there own which I could leverage?
Thanks in Advance.
Show LessI would like to create a PSoC 6 project that combines code example CE220960 - PSoC 6 MCU BLE Upgradable Stack Bootloader with code example CE222802 - PSoC 6 MCU Encrypted Bootloader. The result would be digitally signed and encrypted OTA updates that take advantage of sharing the BLE stack to reduce flash usage.
Before I do, I thought I'd check with the community to see if anyone had done this already.
@MKEA Did you get as far as combining these two code examples?
Has someone else done this already?
Show LessHello,
For the same app, same settings, on a new board :
UART on P5.1 TX works, P5.0 RX do not work (labeled on the board)
UART on P6.5 TX works, P6.4 RX works
Did I miss something ?

Show LessHello there,
I would be grateful for some help with diagnostics in getting BLE to operate correctly.
I have been following the tutorials from Aan Hawse and am up to Tutorial 3-2.
I am not getting any discovery on my phone. I have attached my code.
Status
1) CYBLE-416045-02 prototype board
2) PSoC Creator 4.2
3) PDL version 3.1.0
4) Windows 10 (latest status)
Code status
a) Build and Compile was error free
b) The RED LED on the prototype board started flashing immediately after programming had completed (correct)
c) The serial monitor reported 'Started Task', 'System Started' and 'BLE Task Started' (correct)
d) With the CySMART app on my Android phone, and successfully paired, I get 'Refreshing, please Wait', followed by 'Pull down to Refresh' - but all I see on the phone are blank screens and I should be seeing the customer service being advertised.
Any insights would be really helpful - thanks.
Regards
Bob
Show LessHi,
I'm trying to build this project "Workspace01"step by step based on "CE23727_PSoC6 E-INK DISPLAY Interface with EmWin Graphics Library" but everytime i get the error that pervasive_eink_hardware_driver.h is not found. This file is present in the workspace. I've cloned the workspace from CE23727. While CE237337 compiles easily , this project does'nt.
Thanks in advance

Show LessI keep trying to program my psoc 6 ble pioneer kit. Every time I try it comes up with this error.
I have updated my firmware and it connects to the programmer. i have tried programming with the psoc programmer open and closed.
I tried following several suggested steps for similar issues and none seemed to work.
