Hello,

 

I am building a board using CYBLE41604502 and I want to use CY8C5868LTI-LP038 as KitProg2 to program the PSoC6 chip as it is on CY8CPROTO-063-BLE (https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/evaluation-boards/cy8cproto-063-ble/)

How can I program the CY8C5868LTI-LP038 to do this job?

If you want to use the KitProg2 from your CY8CPROTO-063-BLE then

On your target board, layout the board where the pins from the PSoC6

  • P6.7 => SWDCLK (Module Pad 26)
  • P6.6 => SWDIO (Module Pad 27)
  • P0.1 => RESET (Module Pad 6)
  • VSSD => GND (Module Pad 1)
  • VDD => VTARG  (Module Pad 4) [The KitProg2 provides 3.3V on VTARG]

Place 5-pin header pads in the same configuration above.

When you need to program your PSoC6, unpower your target and connect the KitProg2 with the 5-pin header pins to the 5-pin header pads.  You should be able to link to the target using the PSoC Programmer or the PSoC Creator or ModusToolBox IDEs.

YES!

You can also use a MiniProg3 or MiniProg4 to SWD program the PSoC6.

I commonly use the KitProg board that WAS attached to the CY8CKIT-059 to program any PSoC3, PSoC4, PSoC5 or PSoC6.

You should be able to break off the KitProg2 board from the CY8CPROTO-063-BLE and use it to program your PSoC6.

I actually have a USB type-C connection on the PCB that i developed, like in CY8CKIT-062-WIFI-BT (https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/evaluation-boards/cy8ckit-062-wifi-bt/). 

If i remove the Kitprog from CY8CPROTO-063-BLE that has USB micro-B connector should it work or the Kitprog is programmed differently?
