Greetings,

We are using CY8C6247BZI-D54 + LBEE5KL1DX-883 , and we observed huge variations (20 dB difference) in the Wi-Fi signal strength from board to board. I wonder if this problem is related to the output power setting, which is not set in the firmware. Is the power level actually set somewhere in the low-level code or is it selected adaptively?

When you say Wi-Fi signal strength, do you mean the rssi or tx power? What is the example you are using to test this? For the same example, same country code and same AP, the TX power should not show huge variations.

Output power is usually controlled by clm_blob in conjunction with some settings in the WLAN firmware.
