Title says it all - I installed PSoC designer/programmer for CY3210 MiniProg1 on Windows 8, but it didn't install the driver for the chip. I need the driver to be able to program or power on the chip from designer. How can I get the driver?
Show LessI just found out that schmartboard.com, has released a new PSOC development board priced at $25 (does not includes a PSOC) and if ordered before april 7th using a coupon it will come with a free PSOC5 with a bootloader on it.
What makes this board unique is that it can accomodate diferent PSOC3 or PSOC5 devices (and I suspect also PSOC4s) that can be easily soldered using their EZ technology.
The board also includes a nice bost converter, but unlike the freesoc it does not include a programmer/debuger so you will still need a miniprog or a bootloader.
What I dont like is tha it is too wide. I would have liked if they used a blade style board.
What do you guys think about it?
Show Less1. i call the function I2C_M_Start();
2. write a data buf to eeprom:
I2C_M_MasterWriteBuf(SLAVE_ADDR, buf, num, I2C_M_MODE_COMPLETE_XFER);
/* Wait till write operation is complete*/
while (!(I2C_M_MasterStatus() & I2C_M_MSTAT_WR_CMPLT))
{
;
}
//the buf includes the address of eeprom memory.
3. write another data buf to eeprom:
I2C_M_MasterWriteBuf(SLAVE_ADDR, anotherbuf, num1, I2C_M_MODE_COMPLETE_XFER);
/* Wait till write operation is complete*/
while (!(I2C_M_MasterStatus() & I2C_M_MSTAT_WR_CMPLT))
{

}
4. i call the function I2C_M_Stopt();
my question :
2 worked 3 did not work
when i commented 2, the 3 woked.
maybe i was wrong about the mode(now is I2C_M_MODE_COMPLETE_XFER).
Show LessHi I have the CY8CKIT-050 PSoC® 5LP Development Kit board. With this board I send the PWM signals to switch the Mosfets in a inverter. The inverter is the source for a three phasic induction motor. The PWM signals are isolated with optocouplers from the psoc board to the Mosfets drivers. When the input voltage of the inverter is 110v, the PSoC stops the modulation, so the inverter is in short circuit. With a scope I see noise in the 5V and 3.3V pins of the board. This noise can reboot the PSoC? or the circuit protection of the board are turning off the digital pins of the board?
Show LessHola,
I am having a problem with using the library function "atof". The compiler user guide describes the function as one which takes a pointer to a NULL terminated string as the argument and returns a double value.
Now what I have done is this. I have a program that creates a formatted string when user inputs each character of the string one by one by incrementing an initial character pointer (say *strptr) and finally giving a carriage return which is written as '\0' (NULL) in the last location of a string. The intial value of the character pointer is stored in another pointer variable.(say *ptrval, as in ptrval=strptr when program is initiated).
now to convert the ascii charater string that has been created in the previous sequence into a double value I use the function atof( ). eg. cval=atof(ptrval);
the variable 'cval' is monitored in the watch window. but it is not at all getting updated. please help me find out what could be wrong? is the way I have specified the argument correct? the compiler does not provide quality information on this.
Danke Amigos. 🙂
Show LessMy Project has a problem, I Attached here
I think it is no problem, logically, but compiler show a error message like below,
===========================================================================================
Error: mpr.M0098: Signal "Net_1742" is expected to connect to only one GPIO analog pin but instead it connects to "\Sample_Hold_1:SC\". Please fix the connection.

Does anyone know, solve this problem?
Show LessHi!
I am using a PSoC3 device where I placed a 16 bit UDB up/down counter, with count and direction HW inputs.
Period is 65534 (MAX). I am not using any HW output from this counter, but, while clock input is connected to bus clock, count input is connected XORed with value from input pin and a register bit used to change count sensitive edge (double sync on each pin, about 200-400Hz).
While counting, I am polling counter using Counter_ReadCounter() function.
From time to time, I am getting incorrect values from this function. This is one example of my output log from serial communication:
Polling counter in down count from 1823. Once near 769 (I can see the whole log sequence that counted correctly without issues), I get once 512, then back 741 on next poll, that happens after some time (without changing counter direction, the device is detecting condition and stopping operation due to unexpected count value, than is showing status).
This is just one example of what is happening, and it seems issue is quite random, but it is very hard to reproduce in my code.
At this point, my code is quite large; I should consider trying with a smaller example that aims to reproduce the issue, but first I am trying to ask if there is anything I am doing wrong or if I should use a different approach to read FIFO of UDB counter, or if there is any known issue related to this counter.
Best regards,
Stefano
Show LessHi everyone,
It is just that i am trying to pull out the features of count7 counters in UDB and hence a lot of posts on that. So, after having realised the use of the count7 module to design counters and use their terminal count efficiently, we will now try designing timers out of that.
Designing timers with the count7 cell is very simple. All we need to do is to make the cy_route_ld - `TRUE and we should also load the period value appropriately. To load the period value use the, cy_period parameter. To start the timer, we need to issue a load signal initially. Once it is loaded initially the Timer will run in a continuous mode.
Happy designing,
Rahul Ram
Show Lessthe windows 8 does not recognize the PSOC5 kit. when I try to program the kit it says that "PORT ACQUIRE FAILED".
and yes I connected to the J1 debugging interface. any help regarding this problem?
Show LessWhere to post a compiler-error for the ImageCraft C-compiler?
Due to the poor forum software here I posted it already in another forum with the drawback that it was not reacted on. Yes, I see we cannot have everything, good software AND good support (sigh).
So here is the link to my primary post http://www.psocdeveloper.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=11117&p=43604#p43604
