PSoC™ 5, 3 & 1 Forum Discussions
1. I am looking for system functions to accurately profile time intervals in PSoC5LP. What is equivalent of system "TicCount"/'"Counter" etc. function in PSoC Creator/PSoC5LP?
2. I want deterministic time intervals. Is there any system function equivalent to 'WaitForCounter' in PSoC Creator?
Show LessRecently a group of Cypress Employees started to flood the forums with unasked-for contributions. This WILL make user-questions difficult to detect and follow-up because they are vanishing in the huge amount of these CDC-entries.
I do not question the correctness and value of the contents supplied, but in my opinion of what a community / forum is, they are completely mis-placed.
As a matter of fact I do not see a place of discussing, improving and exchanging experiences in the CDC any more and so I will not post (or even read) contributions here.

Show LessWill the opamp in PSoC 3 be stable in follower mode with upto 100 microfarad of load capacitance?
Ans:
With a 100MFD load, the opamp (in voltage follower mode) will be stable.
But it will have reduced bandwidth and hence, reduced slew rate. Phase margin is also very low leading to a longer settling time.
Show LessHi Guys. I want to use ADC at single sampling mode(triggered by hardware soc input) and get the converted data by catching interrupt from ADC.
The datasheet tells me internal interrupt exists in ADC_DelSig, but I cannot get any converted result with the code as below.
Any help will be appreciated.
------------------------------------
#include <device.h>
#include <stdio.h>
uint16 result=0;
uint8 dataready=0;
CY_ISR(ADC_SAR_1_ISR)
{
result = ADC_DelSig_1_GetResult16();
result = ADC_DelSig_1_CountsTo_mVolts(result);
dataready = 1u;
}
void main()
{
CyGlobalIntEnable;
LCD_Char_1_Start();
ADC_DelSig_1_Start();
ADC_DelSig_1_IRQ_Enable();
for(;;)
{
if(dataready!=0){
dataready=0;
LCD_Char_1_Position(1,0);
LCD_Char_1_PrintNumber(result);
}
}
}
Hi,
I have a board where I am using the CY8C3666AXI-052 as a "slave" processor for additional functions that our main TI processor cannot do. I have SPI and I2C links between the two of them. I was trying to make it so I could reprogram the PSOC3 with the TI processor. I was able to sucessfully make a bootloader and bootloadable project, wire in the MINIPROG3 to act as a bootloader host, and sucessfully reprogram the part using the bootloader over the I2C bus that links the PSOC3 and the TI processor. What I have yet to find is any documentation on how to use an external microcontroller as a bootloader. I can only find the document on the HSSP programming interface, which would potentially erase the bootloader if it went bad. Does anyone know if there is a document showing how to run the bootloader from an external microcontroller over I2C?
Show LessHi
Please help me. How do i configure ADC for ecg? I want to use 14-bit adc. uC is powered from 5 volts. Signal from instrumental amplifer have reference 2.5V.
How do I connect AGND and REF pin in psoc?
Best regards,
Waldi
Show LessHi,
I'm trying to communicate with a sensor using I2C interface and I use the I2C Master (UDB) component in the PSoC creator 2.0 to do so.The reset is connected to '0' and the SDA, SCL connected to the sensor (slave) with pull-ups resistors. I used many times before I2C interface so I very familiar with the protocol. the problem is that this time I get a complete module with functions that from the datasheet I just can't understand how to make a simple reading from the slave's registers:
I need to access to the sensor's address and then access its registers using another address and then read the data and save it.
The protocol of the sensor interface is simple and standard:
Master|S|AD+W| |RA| |S|AD+R| | |NACK|P|
Slave | | |ACK| |ACK| | |ACK|DATA| | |
If someone can give me a simple code example for how to use the component's functions to make this all work I'll be very grateful...
Thanks,
Michael.
