Hello Everyone,
I have a problem with Counter Component configuration on PSoC5 Device.
I want the Counter output to change to opposite, every time the counter make 500 000 counts (1 second with 500kHz clock).
The "comp" output does not change at all, What can be the problem?
I made Initialization in code: Counter_1_Start();
Thank You for Help, Best Regards
Krystian
The EMIF uses the PSOC I/O to provide 24 bit address, 16 bit data and control to external memory.
1. Is it possible to address larger memories? The PSOC5 memory map allows for 1 GB of external memory. Can the additional address bits be accessed and used to interface with larger memory devices?
2. Can code be executed out of this memory?
Show LessHi there,
Is there a way to detect the opening/closing of the (virtual) comm-port from the PC side ?
I tried several USB variables but cannot figur out which one is the correct one to use, mainly because the reaction of the variables depend on which PC program I use.
For example, using TeraTerm give a configuration change on which I could trigger.
But unfortunately using Bray's Terminal or the following CSharp program does not (always) give a configuration change.
SerialPort Dut=new SerialPort("COM7",115200);
Debug.WriteLine("OPEN");
Dut.Open();
Thread.Sleep(1000);
Debug.WriteLine("COMMAND");
Dut.WriteLine("VAR LWR=1\r\n");
Thread.Sleep(5000);
Debug.WriteLine("CLOSE");
Dut.Close();
Attached i have the basic USBFS_UART example, I made some changes to run it on my hardware (CY8CKIT-059) but, as said, it only registers changes in settings; not in opening/closing of the USB port.
Background :
- In my end-application I have a commandline-interface in which you can start/stop several timers and readout analog values. I want to reset the timers and maybe other stuff as soon as the USB port is closed.
Thanks
Patrick
Show LessHi,
I plan to build an LVDT Signal conditioner lik This in Datasheet of AD630 page 17 , but with source of 13 kHz
( Using Wave-Dac-Sinus from PSoC + extern THS4531A) but I don´t use Hw-Phase Shifter ) Is it possible to obtain from Wave-Dac
rectangle (log. signal) with phase shift 90 degree?
How can I to use with input -Mi- of SigmaDelta ADC v3.2 ?
I should obtain a synchro-demodulated signal ..

Show Less1. I have a application in which I require baud rate converter. Data on rx pin of 9600 baud is to send on tx pin of 115200 baurd & data on rx pin of 115200 uart is to send on tx of 9600 baud.
2. Data is bidirectional & around 250KB-500KB in one go & no data should be lost.
3. Is there any programmable digital peripheral which can do it which can assure data safety.
Or I have to do it software programming only, like make two uart, & in their receive interrupts, send data to each other uart?
Show LessHi.
I've got two problems about making components:
1. In my design I use Digital Input terminal, and I want to use on this input function PIN_Read(); How can I do that? Using this Digital Input Terminal (this green with an arrow), program isn't see this as a GPIO which Ican manipulate.
2. On *.h file when I use standard formula:
#ifndef(`$INSTANCE_NAME`_H)
#define `$INSTANCE_NAME`_H
#endif
I got an error: Build error: macro names must be identifiers. After commenting it it works as it should be. Is this line important?
Show LessI made a program for psoc 5 where i used the char lcd, and was working fine, then i made some modifications and everything but the LCD worked. i made a new program that print a simple hello message and it didn´t work, i try changing the port and the lcd and nothing happened. i exported the hello program to psoc and it worked fine.
anybody have an idea of whats going on.
thanks.

Hi,
I am using the PSoC5 Pioneer Kit USB as USBUART and for development purposes, I still used the Cypress VID.
I wanted to be able to get the PSoC5 VID and PID using a command protocol sent from the PC Terminal such that if the pioneer kit received "?UVID" command from the hyperterminal, the pioneer kit will display, "Vendor ID = 04b4" and I wouldn't want to manually code the vendor ID .
char8* reply_str;
reply_str = "Vendor ID = 04b4";
while ( USBUART_CDCIsReady() == 0u );
USBUART_PutString(reply_str );
Although this code excerpt would work just the same, I am looking for a dynamic way to read out the Vendor ID and Product ID. There was no GetVendorID() or GetProductID() from the list of the USB API.
We will be changing the VID and the PID on the final release for the production in the future which explains basically why I am after the dynamic acquisition of both the VID and the PID. It would be great if someone could help me out.
Thanks
K
