PSoC™ 5, 3 & 1 Forum Discussions
Hi
I need to install an old version (4.2) of Psoc designer on windows 10.
I encountered several problems while trying to install on 3 different PC's.
I do know that I can use rev 4.4 to convert the project, and move to the latest version,
but for now this is a non option since there are too many modifications required.
After a long struggle, I found out on the internet that the registry settings for: BtfsDisable8Dot3NameCreation has to be
changed to "0". This did solve some problems.
At this point, the installed Psoc Designer 4.2 seems to work OK using Cypress examples in assembly language.
However, though I do have a licence for the C ImageCraft compiler
Any project containing C files fails at the compilation of the 1st C file.
I get the message:
iccm8c: can't execute 'c:\program files\cypess microsystems\Psoc designer\tools\iccomm8c.exe'
Following the above appears Error 100 (that is most likely a result of failing to compile).
Any suggestion is welcome and appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Danny Braunshtein.
Can any one please put the manual for the board S6J311EJAB. I need to right a driver for SHE.
Hello Every one,
I want to begin a communication between SPI master and two slaves. I wonder how i can do "Firmware Controlled Slave Selects" or using control registers.
Looking forward for reply!

Show LessDear developers,
I'm getting a strange problem while using one of the GPIO pins of the PSoC 3 (CY8C3866-AXI-040). Even though I have configured the GPIO interrupt to trigger on rising edge only, the interrupt triggers on both the rising as well as the falling edges. The attached project might be referred. the interrupt I'm referring to is the POS_EDGE_IN pin interrupt. What might have gone wrong. Please note that I'm generating interrupt from one of the clock sources of the same IC. Would that be a potential problem.
Show LessHello,
First, I wand to apologise if I pose a dumb question. I am sure I have read a technical document that presents RAM paging of PSoC1 devices. I would like to know when it is recommended that RAM paging is disabled for a PSoC 1 project (CY8C29566 device with 2KB of RAM).
Thank you!
George
Show LessI just upgraded PSOC Creator 3.3 to CP3 (3.3.0.9604) and now I get the following error for two pins:
"Pin Error: (USB pins only support the drive modes 'Open Drain, Drives Low, and 'Strong Drive')"
I'm using the CY8C5888LTI-LP097 and the two pins in question are P15[6] and P15[7]. I would like these pins to be inputs. The previous version of Creator didn't complain. What's going on? Can I use these pins as inputs?
Show LessHello,
Is there any clear performance difference between ADCINC and ADCINCVR?
I am working on a project where I need to measure the voltage every second (so no special sampling rate requirements). My project also has three interrupts associated to three digital inputs associated to three buttons (I saw that this could cause some problems when using the ADCINC, in the document related to selecting the right ADC). I have no problem with the digital blocks, meaning that there is enough space. Could someone recommend one of the two?
Thank you!
George
