We are using CYCMBR3116 for development of touch panel switch for home automation.

CS0 is used for proximity trace and other other sensors are used for buttons.

We have initialised register 0x00 and 0x01 with value 3FF1.

we have configured following registers for fine tuning proximity

proximity resolution value 3 (13 bit).

proximity threshold value 62.

proximity enable register value 0x01.

proximity is not sensed even after touching the proximity trace?

Can anyone help me to resolve the above mentioned issue.

Hi,

Please check if your have enabled proximity sensor in PROX_EN register and refer to MBR3 registers TRM for more details (https://www.cypress.com/file/127221/download).

I assume you are using a host controller and configuring the MBR3 device using I2C interface. If not, please let me know how you are configuring the MBR3 device.

If my assumption is correct, please configure the 128 bytes of configuration data by referring to the 128 bytes generated by Ez-Click software.

You could also refer to Section 5.2 of MBR3 CapSense Design Guide (https://www.cypress.com/file/46366/download ).

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Shanmathi

We have enabled all the registers for proximity.

Earlier it was working but it stopped all of a sudden to sense proximity.

What could be the issue??

In that case, could you please provide the following information?

1) I assume all the sensors other than prox are working fine.

2) Use Ez-Click to see the raw count waveforms and send us the raw counts vs baseline, when proximity is detected

3) Else, you could read the registers DEBUG_RAW_COUNT0 and DEBUG_BASELINE0 and let me know the values when proximity is not detected. (Refer to https://www.cypress.com/file/127221/download for more details)

Thanks,

Hi, Were you able to detect proximity? Are you still facing any issues?
