First question asked First like given Welcome!

I work at a company that manufactures a device that utilizes the CY8C27643-24PVXI (a quite old PSoC) and we've been programming it with the CY3217-MiniProg1.

I wanted to buy more programmers and found out that the MiniProg1 is out of production. I see that there are now MiniProg3 and MiniProg4, but cannot find info about if they would program the CY8C27643-24PVXI.

I should clarify, this device was designed before my time in the company and I do not have any experience with Cypress (I am used to working with Microchip's PIC microcontrollers).

Can someone lend me a hand?

Dear Sampath, I'm in a similar situation. Buying a MiniProg3 today. Installed PSoC Programmer 3.29.1 but can't find CY8C27xx family or devices on Device Family list. Nothing between CY8C-SF and CY8C3xxx. In the installation folder ..\Devices I find CY8C27000.dat which lists my CY8C27443 part. Will the MiniProg3 kit come with Windows 10 software that can program CY8C27443 parts? Thanks much, KOlinger

Hi @KOlinger ,

Kindly follow the procedure illustrated in How do I program CY8C29666-24PVXI?  with the device family set to "27x43".

Best regards,

Received my MiniProg3 today. Easy to use. AutoDetection = On setting works. No need for me to search for the Device Family or specific CY8C27443. Conclusion: trying the PSoC Programmer 3.29.1 sofware without a USB programmer attached led to my confusion.  Can't change most settings until a USB programmer is connected to the PC. Thanks for your help.
