Hello,

Recently if I open PSoC Designer normally (not as admin) I can open projects but the top file menu ribbon is not available and I can't do any build or debugging.

If I run Designer as admin then the project does not open and I get this error:

has anyone had this problem? Any help is appreciated.

Hello @salmi ,

I can do compilation using PSoC Designer 5.4 on Windows 11:

For the attempt to fix your issue, may you kindly try below steps:

  1. Complete uninstall the current PSoC Designer software in your Windows 11.
  2. Download from the archive page, the last file listed on the section "Design Support" tab "Development Tools":

The downloaded installer file should be >400 MB.
  3. On a window in installation process, there will be a question for "Complete" installation or other choice, please select the Complete installation.
  4. After the installation success, launch PSoC Designer 5.4, then see if there is any build menu and can build successfully.

Please kindly update your status after trial. 🙂

Thank you and regards,
Muhammad Nanda

Hello @salmi

I am still checking PSoC Designer archive here:
https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/design-support/tools/tools-archive/psoc-designer-archive/?gatedConte...
for which version can be used correctly without that your issue.

Meanwhile, may you kindly inform which Windows OS version do you use ?

Thank you and regards,
Muhammad Nanda

Thank you for checking. I am using Windows 11.
