So I just got a Psoc 5lp and I am trying serial communicate with my computer via Tera Term. With the Psoc creator I am able to install programs and see it running such as making the LED blink. The problem comes up when trying to perform serial communication. Tera term won't recognize it, and when I look into device manager the kitprog shows up as a Portable Device rather then a Universal Serial Bus.

Try pressing the reset switch on your Cypress kit for longer than 5 seconds as described in the kitprog manual. This will switch the kitprog back to the original mode.
