"Correct.  However going through a Amux will increase the series resistance from 200 to 400 ohms.   This might make achieving above 1500uA difficult."

"My question is, can I use some other pin as IDAC output to use with PT100?"

"Yes. However you might not be able to achieve the full range 2048uA of current from pins other than P0[6], P0[7], P3[0] or P3[1]. These pins are almost connected directly to the VIDACs and provides the lowest series resistance to the pins. Using other pins will result in higher series resistance further limiting the maximum current drive."

"...and also, can I create more than one IDAC block within the project to use it with several PT100 at the same time?"

Sí. Hay 4 VIDAC disponibles en el PSoC5LP. Puede asignar cada uno de estos.

¿Cuantos necesitas?

"Yes. There are 4 VIDACs available on the PSoC5LP. You can allocate each one of these.

How many do you need?

If you can drive your PT100s at a lower current range, there is a way to drive many (>4) PT100s from just one VIDAC."

"Can you supply the datasheet for the PT100 sensors you plan to use?

The trick to reading more than 4 PT100s is to analog multiplex the IDAC.   However to multiplex the IDAC output you need to use the lower IDAC current levels.  The 2048uA level may not work."

Hi @nikp21 ,

You might create a new thread when you receive the datasheet of PT100 to continue the discussion. You may quote the following thread in the new thread created.

Thanks and regards,
