What are the advantages of using PSoC 1 to drive a 4-wire BLDC fan? What are the different methods that can be used and how to we choose which is most suitable for our design?

PSoC 1 will be more useful while operating in closed loop. That is, if you have any temperature sensor outside and want to control the fan speed based on the temperature. Even after doing this, there will be still lot of resources left to integrate other functions (depends on the selected PSoC 1 family also).
