Hi.

Is it possible for the bootloader project to have a different layout (i.e. using different components in TopDesign) than the bootloadable project?

For example: the bootloader has a UART connected to pins X and Y, and the bootloadable uses the same pins for different purpose.

Thanks.

"Kind of". Not only the UDBs get reconfigured, but the complete hardware layout as clocks, wires, components, system settings etc.

Yes, that is quite possible. Keep in mind that switching from bootloader to the bootloadable project works with an internal reset. Thus the hardware gets initialized with all the new components of the bootloadable.

PSoC UDBs are kind of FPGA, right? After each reset the hardware layout is reloaded?
