I'm looking for a replacement for CY8C4245PVI-482 (datasheet), ideally with the same footprint/package (28-SSOP).

Maybe the CY8C4246PVI-DS402 (datasheet)?

Attributes Code 000-999: Code of feature set in the specific family. What does this mean? What features?

From the application's schematic, the pins colored on the left half are used:

Is the DS402 compatible? (I cannot show the program.)

Hi @adamelli,

To add to your points, there will be no capsense support, no direct lcd drive and no adc in CY8C4246PVI-DS402. 

I observe that [P3.0 to P3.3] and [P0.1 to P0.3] are used. Since the particular functions of those pins are not revealed, you need to check if CY8C4246PVI-DS402 supports those functionalities.

[by considering all the alternative functions for the pins used in CY8C4245PVI-482, it seems possible to accommodate them in CY8C4246PVI-DS402]
