PSoC™ 4 Forum Discussions
I've been asked to combine the two projects "BLE temperature measurement" and "PSoC_4_BLE_CapSense_Slider_LED" for a demonstrator.
I’m looking to have 3 features:
- 1. Temperature sensing/ simulation 2. Battery level
notification ( which is included in the temperature measurement/
simulation project) - 3. RGB control
My understanding is that the Bluetooth structure includes identification of the device, the identification of the device allows the mobile app to process the data appropriately and so to combine the two functions, either a new app and a new combined program would need to be created or a program that changes the "ID" of the micro so as to appear to the app to be a different device and fool it into working with the program.
My initial response was that it would seem simpler to have two chips and use the unchanged original software but please advise if there is a simple solution I've missed
Show LessHi,
I have been using a CY8CKIT-042 Pioneer Kit to learn to program in PSoC 4 in my college. And i currently consider about get a kit for personal use (i use the 042 only in school) and for making academic projects. I searched in my local store the Pioneer Kit and i founded three more kits: CY8CKIT-049, CY8CKIT-043 and CY8CKIT-044.
I see that the 049 and 043 have stick form, ideal for attaching in a breadboard and connect the rest of my circuit. In the other way the 044 looks like a enhanced version of the 042 kit. I want to choose between the 049 and 043, primarily, for the breadboard capability, but i don't know about the resources available in the PSoC Creator software (like the LED, ADCs, DACs, OpAmps) i can use.
Could you tell me about the mayor differences between those kits?
They all use the Arm Cortex M0 CPU?
What kit do you recommend?
The principal use for the kit is to deal with UART, SPI, I2C communications and controller for power electronics.
Thanks in advice.
Show LessDear Sir,

Show LessI am trying to program the CYBLE-022001-00 with the kitprog (-059) programmer. I expected this to work as page 5 of http://www.cypress.com/file/157966/download, found in a previous post, state that it should support PRoC. As a Mac user I run Windows XP in VirtualBox and have found that I need to run PSoC Creator 4.0 which I understand does not support programming PRoC, even though I can develop for CYBLE-022001-00. I was hoping I would be able to use PSoC programmer 3.28 to program PRoC. When I attempt programming, it recognises the kitprog, but fails to program with; "the chip is not acquired".
The kitprog to chip connection should be fine. Around 3-11 Ohm.
I need some advice for where to go next.
Show LessDear all,
I am using PSoC Creator 4.1 and while opening a firmware project "Simple Eddystone" which is shipped in the folders firmware with the latest CYALKIT-E02 RDK an error message appears, see attached image.
Any clue what could be gone wrong?

Show LessHey Guys,
For a project I'm using a CY8C4247AZI-L433 (PSOC4200L serie) MCU. On a certain pin (26) I want to use the PWM component. The documentation for the 4200L says that the Alt. funcion for this pin is tcpwm.line[0]:3. However, in the Design Wide Resources it's giving an Error: Function Net _107.q cannot be reach from this pin.
^ This is the configuration for the PWM pin (26).
Hope to hear from you!

Show LessIm using the LPComparator PSoC4 Example and i feed a Square wave on Vplus of 200Khz, the interruption seen to make the program crash but when its a signal of 20Khz the interuption seen too be running perfectly.
There is anyway to avoid crash of the PSOC4 when using higher frequency ?

Hey guys,
i need help with driver drv8834 using stepper motor(high torque hybrid stepping motor ) and connect to the psoc4, i need help with API function for it, and how i can connect the stepper motor with sensors in psoc4?http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/drv8834.pdf https://www.pololu.com/file/0J686/SY28STH32-0674A.pdf
Show LessHello,
I'm using 5 pins of Miniprog3 with SWD protocol to program my MCU: CY8C4247AZI-M485 .
I'm having trouble programming my MCU with external voltage supplied (5V) - it doesn't recognize the device.
When I power the MCU from the Miniprog3 with 3.3V, I can program it without any problem.
Besides that, the MCU works just fine with 5V.
Has anyone encountered this problem and has a solution?
Best regards,
Igal
