1)Why don't Flat spots occur when PRS is used?

Please tell this mechanism.

2)Why will the system use a direct clock as sense clock source that drives FSW by default?

(Why don't PRS used by default?)

Best Regards,

Inoue

Hi inoue-junichi_1625121,

1. Please refer to the KBA:

Setting CapSense Parameters for Designs with Temperature, Humidity, and other Gradual Environmental ...

2. It is set by default by the Capsense component. PRS may not be the best solution in all cases. In some cases we have witnessed noises induced due to PRS signal. So, it is better if you set it to auto and the Capsense component will choose the best option for you.

Hi Bragadeesh-san,

Thank you for your help.

1.

How will PRS reduce the width and number of flat spots and hence, increase signal in flat spot regions?

The customer wants to know this mechanism.

Hi inoue-junichi_1625121,

Can you please let us know what issues the customer is facing with PRS in their project? This would help us understand better why the customer wanted to know this information. We generally don't give this information to the customer.

There is no problem.

But, the customer finds it undesirable to adopt without knowing the mechanism properly.

OK.

I tell the customer once that this information generally isn't given.
