Like many others I am having a problem using CySmart 1.3.0.9 with the Dongle. I have four of these 2 black and 2 Red. I have reprogrammed all 4 using CySmart_256k_Psoc file. CySmart rejects . I am using CySmart_256k_Psoc hex file from about 2018.
Each time CySmart says "Press restart button" then hit reset. No good.
One of the dongles was working OK but I accidently programmed a project program into it and killed it.
The other 3 will not program. Looked thru help articles.
HELP! Call 623 544-0679 Dave. Getting desperate. Should I buy another one?

Hi @Diesel999
For dongles have you tried solution provided in Section 2 and Section 3 of the below KBA:
For communication between two CY8Kit-042-BLE devices you can refer Day024_Throughput example.
Please let me know if this helps
Thanks & Regards

Thank you for your reply. Tried upgrading files and following your suggestions.
Still no luck. Attached is 3 screen shots of my programming activity. I think
I will just buy another unit from Digikey. I am sooo tired of playing with this.

I looked at the files day 1 to 100.
Still looking for an example where one CY8Kit-042-BLE
board is talking to another CY8Kit-042-BLE board thru
blue tooth not uart ect. The receiver board will have an
LCD display on it. I can handle the LCD programming.
Seems unusual that there is not a code example I can find
like this. I do not want to use cell phone stuff. Is there any
like this. 4 Dongles still broke!

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. I finally figured out how to program my
CY5677 dongles. I looked over the Section 2 and 3 again as you suggested.
Section 2 is for CY5670 and CY5677 dongles.
In item 4 it says "Go to utilities tab and click Upgrade Firmware"
I believe that is a mistake in the instructions for my dongles!
My dongles never get programmed properly doing this!
Here is how I stumbled on programming my dongles:
I went to Section 3 for CY5670 dongles (not mine) and
tried the wrong instructions for CY5677 dongles.
Instead of going to Utilities and selecting Upgrade Software
I used PROGRAM instead of Update Software. Guess what. Works
perfectly! All dongles up and running by using the wrong instructions.

Hello Pratiksha.
I have tried the Solutions in section 2 and 3. No success. I purchased a 5th dongle which
worked ok for about 1 week. Dumb me I blew out the program by having the dongle in while
I was programming my Pioneer board ( no problem programming Pioneer) I am now proud owner of 5 unusable CY5677 dongles. I have included 3 screenshots of my programmer in use.
I noticed the screen shots in section 2 and 3 were similiar except the voltage was listed at 5 v.
Mine is set at 3 v. Is that important? Also, when I recheck the programming it always fails.
I feel sooo dumb not being able to solve this! What am I doing. A few months ago I was able
to program one dongle. Not sure how I did it. Really need help.
