Hi,

Took the SPDIF_Tx component from a PSoC 5 project and see it's marked incompatible on the PSoC 4 board.
Any simple ways to get this running here? I assume resource-wise we should be fine.

I basically want to make a simple "signal generator" that outputs two S/PDIF signals at various sample-rates.

Thoughts / Tips?

In the SPDIF datasheet under "Resources" you will see that the component needs 4 USBs / DataPaths which the PSoC 4100 does not have. Althougth the PSoC 4200 has got the needed amount of UDBs the component has not been made ready for that device, probably because the PSoC4 doesn't have got a DMA.

The M series just baing released only has 4 UDB, but does have DMA.

You might want to file a CASE as the M series roadmap shows 8 UDB later this

year.

Thanks for replies. So far this is just for testing purposes so will get hold of a 5LP kit.

Would be very convenient  to run this on the small PSoC 42xx kits though, I assume it's possible to do without the DMA, right?
