Could you please let us know recommended range of CSX parasitic capacitance(TX, RX, Cm) which PSoC can support?

The maximum Cm supported by PSoC CSX is 1000 pF,

Cm has to be roughly above 1pF. Lower Cm values have charge sharing problems. Higher Cm values lead to more noise. For the high limitation of Cm, let me double-check.

Q1)

CSD recommended parasitic capacitance range(Cp) differs by device family.

Is recommended Cm range(1pF – 1000pF) same for all PSoC4 device family?

If recommend range differs by device family, could you please let us know about recommended Cm range in each family?

Or is it possible to judge whether or not CSX can drive correctly only by Cm value?

Matsubara-san,

A1) 1pF-1000pF is mainly assessed on PSoC4000S/4100S, PSoC4100PS, PSoC 6 series.

        For PSoC 4, 4-M, 4-BLE and 4-L, don't have enough proof to get the same range.

A2) No. There is no parasitic capacitance range of TX and RX. But it is required to make sure both Tx and Rx: 1/(10*Rseries*C) > Tx frequency.
