Hello Cypress.

Could you please let us know VDDA absolute maximum rating of PSoC4S?

DS describes only VDDD absolute maximum rating(VDDD_ABS).

Best Regards.

Hi,

(Note: Sorry, I'm not cypress, but I studied this for myself, too)

I referenced

"PSoC 4000S Family PSoC 4 Architecture Reference Manual (TRM)"

  Document No.002-10129 Rev.*A

In  8. Power Supply and Monitoring

There are two scenarios

(1) Single 1.8V to 5.5V Unreguralted Supply

According to the Figure 8-2 VDDD and VDDA are supposed to be connected.

So I suppose that the VDDD_ABS applies to VDDA_ABS,(if I may call it so), in this scenario.

(2) Direct 1.71V to 1.89V Regulated Supply

In the note 1 of 8.1 Block Diagram it is written as below.

So I suppose that the VDDA_ABS is 1.89V in this scenario.

=================

1. When the system supply is in the range 1.80 V to 1.89 V, both direct supply and internal regulator options can be used. The selection can be made depending on the user’s system capability. Note that the supply voltage cannot go above 1.89 V for the direct supply option because it will damage the device. It should

not go below 1.80 V for the internal regulator option because the regulator will turn off.

Hello Tanaka-san.

Thank you for your comment.

I am going to use it as an example.

Hello Cypress.

Please comment about VDDA absolute voltage.

I think VDDA absolute voltage is the same as VDDD.

(VDDD_ABS:      -0.5V to 6V)

If user uses “Direct 1.71 V to 1.89 V Regulated Supply”, I think that VCCD absolute voltage has priority over VDDD.

Because VCCD_ABS is lower than VDDD_ABS.

Could you please let us know a correct value of VDDA absolute voltage?

And can cypress add a description of VDDA absolute voltage to DS?

Dears,

I thing your comments about this point is meaningful.

VDDA should has same absolute range with VDDD. Please let me discuss it with Cypress team internally and update the thread when I got a conclusion.

Best Regards,

Ryan
