Hello

I had designed CapSense with Water shield function.

Csh_tank capacitor required to make water shield.

there is recommended capacitor value (10nF).
but I can not found Capacitor grade(X7R or NP0) for this.

which grade is recommended for this?

Hi Sunghun (@suno_285741),

If there are temperature variations expected, then X7R is not recommended as temperature variations are large. If drastic temperature changes are not expected, then they X7R may be used.

Hi @suno_285741,

It is recommended to use NP0 grade capacitors.

However, if you cannot find those, it is advisable to use other grade capacitors which strictly have equivalent specifications to NP0 grade.

Hi Nikhil

How about X7R?
The CapSense design guide say X7R and NP0 is recommended for Cmod.

I think Csh_tank function is transition noise reduction.
why this accurate capacitive value is recommended?

I need to recommend capacitive value to the customer.
but NP0 is hard to use, because of parts standardization in this area (home appliance)

If this X7R is possible to use, customer will have design flexibility.
