HI,

We want to design a Touch module using PSoC4 MCU (Capsense).
The shape and length of the Touch sensor will vary based on the project requirements.

If we want to develop only one version of the software, we can adjust the parameters of the Touch module based on the project requirements through UART or SPI communication. Can you suggest which parameters need to be retained? Can we store these parameters in the MCU?

Capsense V7.0 is recommended.

The Capsense V7.0 is supported by all the psoc4 devices, but V2.6 is not.

1:

You can refer to the below linker file:

AN64846_Getting_Started_with_CapSense-ApplicationNotes

AN85951_PSoC_4_and_PSoC_6_MCU_CapSense_Design_Guide

2: The tuner code example is in attached.

3: You don't need to manually retain these values. If you want to read the system parameters, please pay attention to CapSense_RAM_STRUCT.

HI,
May I ask a question? If the touch sensor and mechanism assembly are not properly installed during production, resulting in poor touch sensitivity, can this issue be resolved by adjusting parameters later to make it as sensitive as normal during operation?

In the CapSense system, the first step is that we should make sue that the touch sensor and mechanism has been installed properly. So we don't make any guesses what it will happen if not.

Hi,
Can I design a dynamic adjustment scheme for Finger threshold, Noise threshold, Negative Noise threshold, and Hysteresis for different projects?

You can choose SmartSense mode. More about the mode, pay attention to AN85951_PSoC_4_and_PSoC_6_MCU_CapSense_Design_Guide-ApplicationNotes-v30_00-EN.pdf section 5.2 SmartSense.

There are two components in Capsense, Capsense V7.0 and Capsense CSD V2.60. which component do you recommend using?

Capsense V7.0 is recommended.

The Capsense V7.0 is supported by all the psoc4 devices, but V2.6 is not.
