Sounds like your KitProg2 went into drive mode.  To change it back to device mode just press and release the button on the KitProg part of the board.

I had this issue a couple of times when I didn't have the PSoC4 powered properly when I plugged the kitprog into the USB port.Once in that mode, it stays there through repowering until you press the button...

Good luck with your project!!!

KitProg2.jpg

It is the switch labeled SW3 in this phone on lower edge to the right with all the holes for headers kinda pointed at it.

Have a great day!

On your pioneer kit the switch is marked SW1.

When you installed the kit files, you'll see all documentation under C:\Programs (x86)\Cypress\CY8CKIT-042...

I tried pressing and releasing that button.

It didn't work ..

Someone suggested me to long press that button for 10-15 seconds. I did

that ...but it still doesn't work. I don't know what the problem is.

Could there be a problem with the firmware ???

Please help me

You might try using the PSoC Programmer to update the firmware on it.  It should boot first time in the correct mode.

Sorry I can't be more help to you!

The issue mentioned here is almost same as on this thread-

https://community.cypress.com/message/145871?et=watches.email.thread#145871

If you press the Reset button on kit for more than 5sec, the Kitprog enters into the mass storage mode.

Details about this phenomenon is given at page#14 of this Kitprog User Guide(topic  "Enter or Exit the Mass Storage Programmer Mode"is  mentioned)-

Hi Amruth,

From the Device Manger image you have attached, it looks like the KitProg is not enumerated (device greyed out). It could be a USB port issue, have you tried connecting the kit to another USB port/computer and still see same issue?

If you still see issue, please try restoring the KitProg firmware by following the steps provided in section 8.2.1.2 Restore PSoC 5LP Factory Program Using Bootloader Host Tool of the KitProg User Guide and see if that resolves the problem.

i tried all the steps carefully but , there was one problem

in the section 8.2.1.2 section of the document that you gave me , the 3rd

point says this

" Configure the PSoC 4 M-Series Pioneer Kit in bootloader mode. To do this,

while holding down the reset button (SW1 for pioneer kits and SW3 for

prototyping kits), connect the PSoC 4 MSeries Pioneer Kit to the PC using

the included USB cable (USB Standard-A to Mini-B). This puts the PSoC 5LP

into bootloader mode, which is indicated by the blinking green status LED."

but when i did this , the green status LED is not blinking

please help me as soon as possible.

also , is there any warranty for the kit ?

i bought it from the official cypress website. So is there a way to get a

new kit as replacement if my kit is not working ??

please reply me as soon as possible, i have a project

thank you

If the green Status LED is always off, it could be USB communication failure. Have you tried changing the USB cable (if you have a spare) and checked kit enumeration?

Please contact Cypress Support and file a support case for further assistance.

but only my kit is not working. I tried all possible methods, but it did

not work.

is it possible for me to get the refund or replacement kit. Because i

bought the kit from the official cypress website?

please reply
