Hi! I'm seeing this issue on several PSoC 4200L devices where an OVT pin in digital hi-z mode, ie used as an input, gets "stuck" outputting something like 2.8 V after connecting it to a 5 V source unless pulled down fairly hard (10k external pull-down gets it back to 0 V; 47k and above does not).
As an example, this can be reproduced on a CY8CKIT-046 PSoC® 4 L-Series Pioneer Kit by connecting pin P6.0 to 5 V with a 47 k pull-down. After disconnecting thr 5 V source, the pin will be around 2.6 V and the current through the resistor around 0.07 mA.
Is this a known behaviour and does anyone have an explanation for it?

Hi,
Can you let us know what is the VDDD value given to PSoC 4L kit?
There is a jumper on the kit to select 3.3V or 5V.
Regards

It's set to 3.3 V. Does it matter?
App note AN86439 states that "This enables the OVT pin to withstand an external voltage higher than VDDIO, VDDD, or VDDA voltage, up to 5.5 V. "
Best, Jon
