Hello,
CY8C4025AZI-S413 IMO clock uses 24 MHZ frequency. But it can be changed to 48 MHz.
If it can be operated at 48MHz, then why it is rated as 24 MHz?
I want to change to CY8C4025AZI-S413 from CY8C4245AXI-483 as pins and functionality do not change much for my project.
Is it cheap to use the former?
Thank you.

Hi @MiNe_85951 ,
You are correct, as shown in the picture attached by you: The datasheet mentions the maximum speed of the device CY8C4025AZI-S413 is 24MHz. So, the MCU cant be clocked at 48MHz by the IMO.

Hi @psoc_3295286 ,
Yes, CY8C4025AZI-S413 (PSoC4000S Family) is an upgrade when compared to older CY8C4245AXI-483 (PSoC4200 Family).
It has CapSense CSDv2 on PSoC 4000S family which is better in terms for performance, sensitivity and Cp Range when compared to CSDv1 on PSoC 4200 Family.
Warm regards,
Sobhit

Got it, but my question is why it is rated as 24 MHz when it can operate at 48 MHz?
Also, is it better to use CY8C4025AZI-S413 in terms of cost?
Thanks.

Hi,
The CY8C4025AZI-S413 cannot be used at 48MHz.
Why was the CY8C4025AZI-S413 determined to work at 48MHz?
