Dear supporters,

I tried to use Capsense tuner on CY8CKIT-145-40xx Prototyping board with miniprog4.
But, it failed to connect between the board and the debugger.

The I2C address, speed, etc. are consistent with the program settings.

How can I modify the board to use this debugger with this kit?

My status is below.

-My project is "CAPSENSE_CSD_Slider_Tuning" from code examples by means default( not canged "main.c" and "config" files).
-I using MTB 3.0 and Capsense tuner 5.0 .
-Trimed kitProg2 circuit from the board. Because two debugger two debuggers exist on one board.
-I don't use BLE module in my project.

Regards,

Chihiro Tatebayashi

Hi @NXTY_Tatebayasi-San,

Can you please follow the below mentioned steps:

1. Kindly connect the VDD of the kit to VTARG of the MiniProg4 Program and Debug Kit CY8CKIT-005. Likewise connect other four wires GND, XRES, SWCLK, SWDIO as well
2. After observing the top and bottom view, it can be concluded that the pin 2 in “12 pin communication Bridge connector” is for I2C SDA and pin 4 is for I2C SCL. Kindly connect these two as well with the kit as they will be used to run CapSense Tuner. Please refer to "bottom View MiniProg4.PNG" and "Top View MiniProg4.PNG" for more details.
3. Open PSoC Programmer> Click on Connect Button
4. Observe in bottom right corner, "Connected"
5. Click on Toggle Power button, observe "Powered" in bottom right corner.

Then you can program the device and you should be able to run CapSense tuner as well.

Please refer to MiniProg 4 user guide https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/Infineon-CY8CKIT-005_MiniProg4_Program_and_Debug_Kit_Guide-UserManual-...

Thanks!

Kind Regards

Hi,  Srivastav san,

Thank you for your help.

I checked the wiring from MiniProg 4 user guide user guide.

With the wiring shown in the figure, can I communicate via I2C?

Hi @NXTY_Tatebayasi -San,

The I2C Lines are used here by CapSense Tuner to get data from CapSense Data structure and represent it graphically in CapSense Tuner.

Thanks!
