Hi @Spandana-S,

You may refer to PSoC™ 4 and PSoC™ 6 MCU CAPSENSE™ design guide to design CapSense sensors. The AppNote provides detailed information about sensor design - button, slider, touchpad, proximity sensor, etc. You may also want to look into the sensor parasitic capacitance ranges supported by different generations of CapSense.

This seems to be a similar question as asked in the following thread: https://community.infineon.com/t5/PSoC-4/CY8C4025FNI-S402T/td-p/341132. Further discussions may be continued there.

Thanks and regards,

Hi @Spandana-S,

CY8C4025FNI-S402T is a PSoC 4000S part. PSoC 4000S family devices have fourth-generation CapSense architecture. Refer to the fourth-generation CapSense information from Table 2 of  PSoC™ 4 and PSoC™ 6 MCU CAPSENSE™ design guide for the summary of the same. Chapter 7 of the  PSoC™ 4 and PSoC™ 6 MCU CAPSENSE™ design guide deals with the design rules and recommendations for CapSense sensors. Sections 7.4.13 and 7.4.14 provide the schematic and layout checklist for CapSense designs.

Nikhil
