Cy8C4045AZI CapSense + ADC

Hi,

I'm using "CY8CKIT-145-40XX PSoC® 4000S CapSense Prototyping Kit" for evaluating CapSense capability.

It's working fine with code example "CE210709_CapSense_Linear_Slider_and_Buttons". But once I add a ADC block in the circuit, Build with error: "Too many clocks allocated for CSD components. (App=cydsfit)"

Can 4054 have CapSense and ADC work together?

Hi @PatrickU

The CapSense IP internally uses the ADC block, therefore, it is not possible to add another ADC along with CapSense in the same design.

You need to use the CapSense_ADC component for achieving this. This is a separate component that you can obtain from the Component Catalog -

This will let you configure ADC parameters as well and there is a dedicated tab within the CapSense_ADC configurator.
