First question asked Welcome!

I am using the CY8C4045AZI-S413 chip with 8 capsense buttons and i2c communication on pins p1.0 and p1.1. I want to use the CY8C4145AZI-S423 chip for the same and with the same pins but I do not know if it is possible.

The datasheet tells me this is possible, but then at the end of the datasheet it says that the CY8C4145AZI-S423 chip has no csd blocks and only 2 scb blocks. On this chip, the pins p1.0 and p1.1 can be used for i2c but in the scb[0] according to the datasheet.  Can I use it? Or can only the scb[1] and scb[2] be used? I am trying to select those pins for i2c communication in PSoC Creator and it does not allow me, it only allows me the scb[1] and scb[2] blocks.

If someone can help me please!

Hi @JoVa_4370637 ,

CY8C4145AZI-S423 Doesn't have CSD block so capsense is not supported

and P1[0] and P1[1] of CY8C4145AZI-S423 doesn't support I2C . So you cannot use the same pins for I2C.

Thanks,

Krupashankar
