Yes it can. It transforms CapSense proximity data from the kit to the connected BLE client device.

From my understanding it cannot but i may be wrong. Capsense is disabled when in deep sleep. From sleep mode it should tho. If you want to wake from deep sleep you will have to periodically power on and check then go back to deep sleep.
