I would like to use a mcu pin for capsense sensing as well as another sensor on the same pin. I would like to switch between what sensor I am reading from. I do see how to connect a capsense sensor to a analog mux sequencer if that is a possible solution.

Yes...external operation could be the best choice...

Hi Braeden,

Do you mean an external analog mux?  I think that depend on the resistance and capacitance char of the analog mux sequencer.

There is no routine inside the chip to use extra internal analog mux component.

Thanks,

thanks for the response.

I am able to read each sensor on separate pins, but I would like to combine them onto the same pin using a mux like this so that I can choose which sensor I am reading from. I don't see how to connect a capsense sensor to something like this as there are no visible connections on the capsense block on the schematic.

So the only way to do this would be externally?

i am using a psoc 4200 series
