Please let me know the purpose (benefit, effert, etc) of the ventilation hole on Top Back Plate and Bottom Back Plate.

Does it work effective for the delay, SNR, low frequency and so on?

Best regards,

H.N

Hi @h_nakamura ,

The ventilation holes are provided on the plates to facilitate static pressure equalization between the ambient environment and the microphone cavity as it allows the compressed air inside the chamber to flow out and membrane to move back to its original position. The presence of ventilation holes does ensure optimal performance of the microphones in terms of frequency response and SNR.

Best Regards,

Deepa
