The current MCU we are using CY90F598GPFR-GSE1 already had last buy and we cannot get any more.
Our representative mentioned, that they might be able to get the CY90F598GDPF-GSE1 although it already had last buy.

But have not been able to find anywhere, what the difference in part number means, neither does our contact.
The models share GPF, while one has the suffix R, which as I understand is a backend fab indicator.

But the D it's a mystery, and was not able to find this info anywhere.
Anyone who knows or can point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Dear Karsten,

The "D" indicates the specific customer part number.  There is slight difference between the "D" version and "non-D" version, the detailed difference has to be got from the representative offline where you purchase the part, as it is confidential stuff.

Thanks. I’m not sure I understand this about the costumer specific part, because the GDPF variant is was publically available as an alternative, so how can that be customer specific?

If you mean https://www.cypress.com/documentation/product-termination-notice-ptn/ptn195105 in which saying GDPF variant is publically available as an alternative,  that's a mistake of the PTN, the GDPF part was removed from PTN195105 Addendum version - https://www.cypress.com/documentation/product-termination-notice-ptn/ptn195105a

Even CY90F598GDPF-GSE1 has last buy date on 3/31/2021 referring to https://www.cypress.com/documentation/product-termination-notice-ptn/ptn202703a
