What is process to program S25FL256L QSPI flash for Intel Altera Cyclone V E FPGA?

We are NOT able to program S25FL256L using Intel’s Quartus Programmer.

The error is Silicon ID not detected for device 1.

Hi,

With the Intel Cyclone V, you are booting from Hard Processor System (HPS), then our S25FL256L Flash is not supported by Intel.

The alternative Infineon 256Mb QSPI Flash to be used is our S25FL256SAGMFI00 which is supported by Intel on the HPS of Cyclone V: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/programmable/support-resources/devices/supported-fla...

In the thread which you are mentioning uses the Flash in Active Serial (AS) SPI configuration mode, our S25FL256L has the right features and architecture to be used on Cyclone V.

Our S25FL256L Flash is not directly supported.

Hope it clarifies your query.

Regards,
