hi,
I have checked for the datasheet of of the serie of NOR-Flash AL, but I just cannot find the nr "A" in the order information.
I know "B" stands for BGA Packaging and "N" for Extened temperature.
And how about the "A"? Another packag material set other than "F" and "H"?
Thanks

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Cypress Semiconductor.
The "A" denotes Tin (Sn) and Lead (Pb) material set. Therefore, the solder balls contain 63% Sn and 37% Pb.
Hope this helps...

so S29AL008J70BAN020 is not a Lead-Free product and cannot be used in Europe. That can explain why the stock are mostly in US. Tks

Hello,
Yes that is correct, the S29AL008J70BAN020 is not lead free. Some (if not all) defense and aerospace contractors prefer to use the ("A") Tin and Lead material set, specifically for their applications.
