I would like to replace MT25QU512ABB8E12-0SIT by S25HS512TDPBHI010, is this working?
Flash must comply with JESD216 or support Fast Read (0BH) command with 3-byte addressing.
Could not find detailed datasheet of the part. Please provide me a link

Hello,
The S25HS512TDPBHI010 does support 3-byte addressing, as it is the default setting in Configuration Register 2, bit-7 (CFR2[7]). The S25HS512TDPBHI010 also supports the Fast Read command 0Bh.
Hope this helps...

Hello Betty,
The closest suggested migration path from the MT25QU512ABB8E12-0SIT is to the
S25HS512TFABHI010 (FA = 166MHz) or S25HS512TDPBHI010 (DP = 133MHz).
Both FLASH memory devices support 3-byte addressing (Config. Register-2, Bit-7 - CFR2x [7]),
as well as Fast Read command (0Bh).
Differences:
S25HS512Txx:
1). RESET# on D4
2). Sector Architecture options -
a). Uniform: Address space consists of all 256 KB Sectors
b). Hybrid:
• Config. 1: Address space consists of thirty-two 4KB sectors grouped either on the top or the bottom while the
remaining sectors are all 256KB.
• Config. 22: Address space consists of thirty-two 4KB sectors equally split between top and bottom while the
remaining sectors are all 256KB.
MT25QU512ABBxx :
1). HOLD# on D4
2). Bulk erase
– Sector erase 64KB uniform granularity;
– Subsector erase 4KB, 32KB granularity

Hi Albert,
Thank you very much for the excellent answer. Somehow, I did not receive any notification after registering for Semper Private Community.
We also checked the S25FS512S devices. Is it correct, that if we buy the DDR option S25FS512SDSBHI210, we will also be able to communicate via the SDR protocol? Is there any configuration needed if SDR and not DDR used with this device?
What is the difference of F-Serial or H-High-Performance Serial, beside the Technology behind?
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards
Betty
